yeah it still is super disappointing though. I figured the departments may have been more aware of their budgeting situation before now. Makes me wonder if the university cut some more out of social sciences budgets.

I will probably send an email early next week! most of the places (like uconn) that i applied to had deadlines of Jan.15th so I figure they are still deciding but dang the waiting sucks! haha hoping good things for the both of us!

hmmmm well that good for you! Fingers crossed I will hear something, but if not oh well. I hate the idea of waiting that long for a substantial decision. You would have thought a lot of this programs were more aware of their financial standings when accepting applications and such! So essentially it was a "yeah we want you, but we cant officially say so until we know if we can support you"?

Has anyone heard from UConn? I am having a hard time trusting the Results page unless I see multiple similar results in a day?

Hi to all! I am currently in my first year of my masters program for sociology, and I am already trying to look forward to schools I might want to apply to in the fall. I have not even been doing it that long and I already feel slightly overwhelmed and bogged down by the amount of professors and departments to search through. I am currently getting my thesis together, but I have a lot of interest in the internet, mass media and social media as well as sociology of the body. If anyone has any leads on departments or professors in certain departments that might cater to those academic areas of research it would GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks!
