  1. Hi! Does anyone know if there are any restrictions on announcing your award on social media?
  2. Does anyone know if there are any restrictions about posting CGSM results on social media. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that you were not supposed to until the official results were announced but now I can't remember...
  3. Is it still valuable to put a CGS-M award that you were offered and declined on your CV (due to not attending the school)?
  4. Does anyone know what time CGS-M results are announced tomorrow? Is it worth checking at 12:01am??
  5. Curious... what do you guys think is the most important factor to consider when choosing a program to attend (if you like the research you would be doing at both schools)?
  6. Just wondering if the people who reported that they got accepted to Concordia (Clinical Masters) would be willing to DM me the name of their POI? I would really appreciate it!
  7. For anyone wondering, I was informed that the first round of acceptance letters for Concordia's clinical program would be going out March 4th!
  8. Does anyone know if you can complete the Clinical MA/PhD at Concordia in a shorter amount of time if you are applying having already completed a MSc (Experimental)?
  9. Thank you! yes I was inquiring about switching the POI the I would like as my primary supervisor (the POI that I would want to reach out to is new and was not listed on the website when I started my application research). My thinking was along the same lines though - that it would hurt my chances of acceptance. Thank you for your insight. With respect to co-supervision, has anyone/ does anyone know of someone who has requested co-supervision after receiving acceptance (more specifically at McGill or Concordia)? If so, how did you go about doing this?
  10. Hi everyone, bit of a strange question but... Is it "unaccepted" to reach out to new POIs from a program that you have already been interviewed with (with a different POI). For example, if you became more interested in a different POI during the interview stage, would it be disadvantageous to reach out to this POI?
  11. Hi everyone! I just received more information about Concordia's interview process and I am looking for advice! Pretty much the format will be multiple mini interviews and many of these interviews will be used to assess "your natural relational and problem-solving skills". I have been informed that I will be asked to participate in several tasks relevant to the work of clinical psychologists but that they don't expect me to have past clinical training (will not be assessing clinical skills directly). I am wondering if anyone has gone through a similar experience before? Did you do anything to prepare? What sorts of tasks would this involve? Would appreciate any insights or ideas! Thanks in advance
  12. Sorry I must of been half asleep typing this! I haven't - I did list that school on my CGS app. I just was contacted by my third choice for that school. Sorry for the confusion, im going slightly crazy thru this process!
  13. I am not sure yet, but I am assuming that it will be department-level as I have already had a shorter interview with my POI!
  14. This is very helpful, thank you! Do you remember if they told you who the different faculty members would be before hand? If they didn't, how did you prepare?
  15. Just received an invitation to Concordia's 'Clinical Interview'. The only details available are that it will be 4.5 hours long. I am wondering if anyone has any insights to how to prepare for this length of an interview, or if anyone has gone through this process before? HELP ?
  16. Hi guys i'm in the process of sending POI emails and have a couple of questions... 1. if you hear back from your first choice would you still email other professors so you have people as "backups" or does this look bad? 2. for those who don't respond should you email again? And also ... unrelated question: when applying for CGS external scholarships you can only indicate 3 programs on your application but if you receive the award can you bring it to a program that you did not indicate on your application?
  17. Also If I wouldn't be eligible for graduate funding, does anyone know if that would effect my changes of getting in (i.e., McGill clinical psych wants you to apply for external funding).
  18. Hi everyone. Im a little confused about applying to provincial level funding if you are looking to apply to schools outside of the province you currently live in. I live in Ontario but am looking to apply to programs in Quebec. I want to apply to external funding (provincial level; FRQ), but I can't figure out if I would be eligible. Does anyone know if it works the same as OGS, that is, you can apply before you are even accepted to a graduate program? Any information would be appreciated.
  19. Also, what is everyone's opinions on submitting the GRE subject scores this year when they are optional? I don't want to sign up for the test just to realize that schools won't care about it this year!
  20. The proctor system kept getting disconnected and they had to interrupt be many times during my test! Also they weren't even paying attention after I came back from the break and I waited for like 20 minutes for them to acknowledge that my break was over... I thought they just were not going to come back.
  21. For a bit more context I am a little stressed about making sure I put out great applications because I was only able to find 5 programs that meet my interests, which I feel lessens my chances to begin with...
