Just got my acceptance into Carleton’s 2-Yr program! anyone else is also going to this program/school? I would love to know more about the school/city before I make a decision

I think you're correct, I also remember hearing something like 130 people in one cohort. But I'm not sure whether that would mean that all 130 people will be in the same class. I mean, yes all 2-yr students will take the required 5 courses during Fall but there're multiple sessions for the same course, so I don't think we will have that large of a class size. Anyway, we should hear about the method of delivery around Apr or May ... fingers crossed

Oh, that's because I'm on study Visa so I need to renew my study permit if I want to attend this program almost forgot I need to renew my Visa ... guess that's another thing quarantine did to my brain

emmmmm Hi everyone I got an email from uoft and they told me that decision has been made, I checked my sgs site and the decision document says "letters of acceptance" does this mean I am accepted??????? I was not expecting to hear anything from uoft until Apr so I'm literally in shock and confusion rn did anyone heard anything from uoft as well?

I applied to Carleton MSW 2-year, and my status is still "preliminary review required." What's the status for others who applied to Carleton?

Hi everyone, After spying on people's posts for a long time I've decided to make a post as well :) I'm also applying to MSW programs in Canada (and 2 in the States but that doesn't matter) and I'm hoping to start Fall 2021! I'm kinda worried about my application since I'm applying straight out of undergrad (i.e., I'm currently finishing my last year) so I don't have that much human service experience. I have a 3.8 GPA and A+ in research courses, but only about 1000h of human service volunteer experience, and my practicum this year has been canceled due to COVID. Right now I'm thinking about non-BSW entrance at UofT, York, Carleton, UWO, UWin, Darhousie, and UBC-O, I gave up Laurier cuz it has a pretty rigid requirement in terms of experience hours. I understand that for applicants without a BSW degree, the programs kinda expect us to have been working in the field for a while before applying ... so I'm also considering whether I should apply this year or I should go working first :( Good luck everyone!
