  1. Thank you! I really had a hard time choosing between the two programs. Both supervisors are great and I wanted to keep in touch with the other supervisor regardless of my decision. I was unsure if it was polite or okay to do that. Your personal anecdote gave me confidence to just go for it and send that message.
  2. Hey guys! I was fortunate and received two offers of admission this season. I like both programs, both are a great fit, and the professors I mentioned in my statement of intent were both willing to be my supervisor. Both professors are great and both are well-known within their field. Unfortunately, I have to reject one program in favor of the other (due to several factors). However, I am reluctant to just leave it at that. If possible, I would like to keep in contact with the supervisor from the rejected program. I admire her work and I think she's great! Is this okay to do? Do you think the professor would be okay keeping in touch even though I rejected their program? This is the email I intend to send to that professor. Dear Dr. X, I was happy and grateful that I was considered for admission to the --- program. After careful consideration, I decided to decline my offer at ---. I hope that we cross-paths in the future and that there's an opportunity for us to collaborate on a project. If anyone has any advice, please let me know!
  3. Hey guys, OISE got back to me. Hopefully, that clears up some confusion. Thank you for your interest in graduate studies at OISE. Notification of results are provided to applicants via the online admissions application. We start uploading letters in early March and continue into March, April, and sometimes later months. If you submit a complete application by November 16, you should receive a decision sometime in March. If you submit an application after November 16, decisions are available within three to six weeks of application submission, but no sooner than early March.
  4. I'm in the same boat tbh. I sent them an email today asking when I should expect a decision. Let see what they'll say.
  5. Message me too, please! I would like to know more about the process. OISE was my top choice, and sadly, it has been radio silence since November.
  6. Hi! Thanks for the reply and great suggestions by the way. I was actually debating on whether to email my POI after applying (I emailed my POI a couple of times after the initial introduction) but I guess it a good idea to establish that interest one last time.
  7. Hi, I applied to OISE today. In your opiniton, what do you think helped your application the most?
  8. I'm also interested in general tips and/or advise. I really don't understand it, especially the Tri-Agency funding/scholarships.
