  1. Any details about UT Austin Counseling is appreciated. Seems that right now there is radio silence on all fronts
  2. Seeking updates on Loyola Chicago (Counseling) & UH Manoa (Clinical) it appears UT Austin (Counseling) is yet to do anything and this thread has pretty throughly covered it
  3. It depends on the type of program. If it is an MA vs an MS matters. Sounds like an MA. They usually care about why you want to be in the profession and what drives you. Sometimes it is not advantageous to mention research if the program has a heavy focus on counseling. Try to be original and have a more specific reason than helping others
  4. Based on my interviews last year and some very solid advice from my research prof, I was advised to place as few judgements as possible on the perceived quality of my interview. It is normal for professors to be friendly to everyone or poker face to everyone. Reading faces and tone will not be helpful and psych you out
  5. Counseling Psych PhD - Anyone heard from U Kansas, UMass Boston, or Loyola Chicago? Clinical Psych PhD - Anyone heard from N. Illinois or UH Manoa?
  6. University of Oregon - Counseling Psychology I saw today on the results forum people got an official rejection email from the program. If I received neither an invite nor official rejection what is the best next step? What do you all think?
  7. Posting to see if anyone is interested in hopping on a zoom open to anyone on the forum. I’m specifically interested in talking to others that applied for Counseling Psychology PhD but think a Clinical one would be cool too. Anyone down? Obviously you could keep your video off if that was more comfy. Just interested in hearing other students thoughts, venting, news, ect.
  8. Does anyone know what this means?? “Thank you for your interest in our Educational Psychology PhD - Concentration in Counseling Psychology program in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
