I feel the same way! I haven't heard anything (so doubt I got in) but really hate that they can't just send rejections out so we know for sure.

I had an interview in mid January, but I have no idea if it's the same process for Health Policy and Management and Epi.
-
Congrats! I just got into Tulane too for the HPM PHD program! Super excited!

If I received an email last Saturday that sounded like an unofficial acceptance, but was a bit unclear, how long should I wait until sending a follow-up email asking for a timeline on official acceptances and funding?
-
Thanks for the info! My email was actually from Tulane HPM. I interviewed about a month ago. This weekend the PI sent me a link with a project I would be working on if I joined their research group. So nothing officially saying acceptance, but sounds promising. I love the research at Tulane so really hoping for official notice from the school soon.

Congrats on the acceptance! And glad to know others are getting super vague emails as well from various schools.

Has anyone received unofficial acceptances from PIs and if so were they clearly unofficial acceptances or did you have to read into it...

I just actually got an email from Tulane HPM asking for more information about my application. I was really worried I hadn't gotten in because it had been almost a month since my interview without anything. But it sounds like maybe this week or next week they'll release acceptances for public health programs? Don't hold me on that though I feel very clueless about these timelines.

I am not sure, this was in context of the health policy and management program. Sorry should have specified.

In case anyone was waiting to hear from Tulane, I was told the first round of PhD decisions should come out the first or second week of February. And there may be a second round mid-Feb (although was a little unclear)

Thanks for the info! Hope the interview went well.

Hi everyone, Does anyone know if programs that don't require interviews ALWAYS end up asking for one? I've seen a few people specifically for Harvard PHS mention getting interviews, but the website mentions a interview is not necessary and I've already spoken to the professors I was interested in having advise me. Just freaking out probably for no reason like the rest of us right now.
