  1. As someone who already graduated, it was hard enough getting the references I did lol. But honestly the same referee was able to give me letters for my other applications just fine, so I don't know what happened here. I did ask a Phd student working underneath him directly because I'm that desperate at this point but I don't know if they'll even accept that. They also kept saying referees have 10 days from the point the instructions are sent out to them so I'm pretty sure that request has expired since I applied a month ago, and it was probably out of sight, out of mind for him. Sigh lol.
  2. Nope and I'm getting more and more frustrated by the minute. Literally spent my whole day at work today emailing back and forth with uOttawa's graduate admissions department. Since a new person kept responding to my emails, I kept getting different advice. What's frustrating me is they keep saying I have to figure this out on my own by getting another referee or else they will not look at an incomplete application due to their competition. It's like if I had another referee you don't think I would've used them by now?! And what professor is willing to write a letter on such short notice anyways. I was disheartened that they replied like this and honestly don't have any hope for myself now lol. Don't understand what happened to my prof but he just cost me a $125 fee. At this point I'm just telling myself I wouldn't have got in anyways so what's the point.
  3. Hi, does anyone know what happens if one of your references is not submitted by the deadline date? For my uOttawa MPH application due Feb 28th, I have literally everything checked off expect for one of my references is not uploaded, that is why it still says my application is incomplete. I have emailed that professor numerous times over the last month and not received a reply so it's really frustrating. They were also pretty slow at uploading my other letters for my other applications too, so I guess this was expected. Does anyone know what I should do? How many times should I keep emailing him? Will my application not be looked at? Thanks!
  4. Found it! Thank you so much. Do you know if it is required to upload a transcript ourselves too, or has it already been requested by OUAC and included in our application fee?
  5. Hi has anyone who applied to uOttawa know where we are supposed to upload our letter of intent form? I have gotten my login credentials and even was able to submit the emails for my two references but where do I upload the letter? Thanks for any help!
  6. Ok so you still paid the $15 for the e-transcript right? My application says all documents are received so I just want to make sure I did the right one. I'm assuming since I uploaded it myself and it was the official one and not the academic history, that I didn't have to request UofT to send it to Queen's? Idk lol
  7. Hey so I have applied to Queens MPH and I don't think I received any email like this after submitting my application. All I did was go on Acorn and pay $15 for the e-transcript to be sent to myself, then uploaded that as part of my application. After that it was noted as received, along with my other documents and I didn't email it over to anyone. Sorry I'm just a bit confused since I went to UofT too.
  8. That's true, I guess I'll cross it off my list. Would you say Western is similar since it is only one year too?
  9. How would anyone rank the following programs based on competitiveness? I'm struggling trying to choose one more school to apply to and as someone with a low GPA and decent work/volunteer experience, I'm trying to be realistic about my options since application fees are costly and of course I'm not trying to make my referee write 20 letters ?. Queens MPH, uOttawa MPH, Western MPH (side note how do you feel about the no OSAP coverage), McMaster MSc Global Health? Thanks for any insight!
  10. I just got an email back from them stating they look at your most recent 20 courses! So I guess it's not only cGPA. Just putting this out there for anyone else who was confused and might stumble upon this.
  11. Hi does anyone know if Queens look at the last 2 years GPA for MPH or do they look at CGPA? Their website states you need minimum 75% in the following degrees but it doesn't specify anything else. Some clarification would be appreciated! Thank you.
  12. Hi sorry to comment on this older post, but does anyone know if uOttawa looks at the last 2 years for GPA or do they look at culminative for MPH specifically? Thank you.
