    Hey Everyone, I wanted to post here to say that some of us have created a facebook group for incoming clinical psych students at Lakehead.     Hi Everyone, do you know how the non-renewable CGSM works? So if you get non-renewable funding for a year (1st year of Masters) do you need to apply for the PhD level for your second year of Masters, or do you have to apply only to provincial awards for the second year? Of course this structure assumes a two year Masters and then the PhD.

    Does anyone know what the general rules are about contact others in the lab that you will be joining? I want to meet with the lab people and get to know the culture better but I am afraid that my PI might find it rude that I talked to her students behind her back ?

    Just received an unofficial offer from POI at Lakehead saying I got accept to the program this year ! Hopefully I will be able to start soon after defending my thesis Fingers crossed Thank you to everyone for all your support and openness on this forum.

    In case anyone is applying for 2022 at Lakehead they have waived the GRE requirements for the Fall 2022 intake. PsychSci

    Question for those who maybe we waiting: if another person who has the offer extended to them doesn't respond before April 15 at 11:59 pm does that mean they automatically forfeit their spot in the program? Or will they be given a longer time to make a decision?

    I haven't heard back from QueensU either, and I would assumed it is a rejection. They already sent our their offers in March, and I think they also interviewed waitlisted candidates.

    how long do schools have to make a decision about CGS-M? I still have received by administrator as the status for one of my schools, does this mean a decision has yet to be made?

    Do all schools have to update the CGSM portal by April 1st? Or is that the date at which they can start updating students (assuming you are eligible for an award)?

    Hey I also did my undergrad in PNB at McMaster, and I haven't encountered this problem. Although I suspect it might have to do with how UOttawa looks at your courses etc. I have applied to other schools this cycle and I hope it won't be a problem for them. Fingers crossed.     Hey it is great you are starting early I would say it depends on your professor and references how they will respond to being asked so early on. I am sure they will ask to be reminded closer to the deadline but will likely give you a response immediately about they feel about their suitability to write you a letter. I believe because the schools you listed a all CPA accredited they have to publish a table with statistics about their acceptance rates and such on their website. I haven’t applied to any of those schools so I wouldn’t be able to direct you the tables as readily as someone else who maybe applied. Maybe they can comment on your post and give you a more direct and immediate answer.

    I haven't heard anything yet, and based on the results page it seems that other people haven't heard yet (like those who were on the waitlist). I do not know about asking for your position on the waitlist, it seems like if they wanted to let people know where they were on the waitlist they would have done so already. But we can maybe ask if the second round of offers have been extended already? That would give us an idea of what has been done. I also wanted to mention when I contacted them about GRE requirements for the next application cycle, they told me (on March 10th) that only the first round of offers had gone out, and that offers may be extended until April 15th. So it seems that they are taking sometime and may not send out offers until the end of March or early April as mentioned in the last mass email to the waitlisted candidates.

    I applied to Queens and haven’t heard back but it seems that they already sent out the interview invites and accepted people. I only saw one person post saying they got rejected. I am also on the list for Lakehead and I don’t know what is happening there. I know that they sent out their first round of offers and are giving people until April 15 to respond. So it might be a while before the wait list people heard back? But they did send out an email last week or so letting people know that they will do their best to get back before end of March to early April. best of luck to you with your other offers

    to those of you waiting to hear back from Lakehead, they sent out an email today to all of the Waitlist Candidates. Check you Lakehead email

    Yes I emailed them and they said my application was unsuccessful in the first round but that it has been waitlisted.
