I wonder if the professors know that the phone call is a community effort! An entire cohort is with their applicant.

@iamsoscared96 good luck! I hope you get some good news. And while you are talking to someone from GSE, please let them know there are applicants losing their sleep so they should start replying.

No interview, no teaching experience, feel my SoP missed the mark, etc. But here I am at 4:30 in the morning, checking my mails. Hope is a strange power.

Tea or Chai is my relaxing balm! I have also accepted the most expected outcome but there is this tiny spark of hope pushing against the burnt bits of my current dream.

So it's 5:00 PST now. We will probably only know our fate tomorrow.

It does but it isn't a part of the application process so you can just ignore it.

It should take a few more hours. You can set your alarm for 3 hours and sleep a bit.

Yes! I mailed GSE admissions but didn’t get a reply. I understand they have been swamped by a record number of applications this year. Thank you for your reply!

By any chance, do you know of any candidate whose application status remained incomplete throughout the process? Two of us here have been staring at the incomplete label on the checklist for the last 3 months.

No, I think they either just checked their mails recently (after waking up in the morning/noon) or posted hours after having received the information.

You are right! I also went through all the computer science results posts and realized they were in a similar state for 2-3 days.

It's like sitting in the middle of a volcano eruption and painting the scenery. You did get an interview opportunity right? I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

GSE admissions

I emailed admissions and not the department. I got an automated reply saying if the question is covered under FAQs the mail will be deleted. So I think because my question did have some keywords from FAQs, it was probably deleted.

What I find funny is that from submitted to rejected, my application is going to stay "incomplete".

Is the candidate who got accepted to CTE Literacy here? I would love to hear about what they plan to examine as part of their doctoral research.
