  1. I know OISE can be a bit of a wildcard, I've spoken to some current grad students there and some of them didn't get an interview until late February, and others have gotten an acceptance in mid March without ever getting an interview. I haven't heard from CCAP though so at this point I feel like it's an assumed rejection
  2. I'm in the same boat I'm trying to hold out hope because one of the schools I applied to was OISE SCCP, and I know their interviews could happen anytime, but it's still making me anxious.
  3. Would the person who got an informal interview from Guelph please DM me the POI please? I'd really appreciate it!
  4. I haven't heard anything from any of the child focused programs! I applied to Guelph, York (Clinical-Developmental), and SCCP at OISE.
  5. Has anyone else not heard back from any programs yet? I am feeling quite dejected lately. I know it's technically still early, but the fact that I haven't even received an informal interview is making me feel quite hopeless. As a mature student, I'm also now wondering what else I could even do to improve my application in the future. Sorry for the change in tone from all of the positive messages - just hoping someone could offer some support or advice.
  6. Hi everyone, just a general question when reflecting on the application process. Prior to submitting an application, did you all email every single prof that you were applying to? And if so, how many of them responded? This is already assuming that those profs have been listed on the school's website that they are accepting students. Prior to applying I emailed all the profs for 3/5 programs I applied to and only got responses from one I'm not sure if this is typical or if this might be an early warning sign that they don't like me?
  7. No, there's nothing else you have to do! As long as everything has the status changed to "received" that's everything you have to do.
  8. Hi everyone, I have a few questions Anyone else applying to Dalhousie? On the application summary there's a box for "admission type" and mine says "previous academic work. Any idea what this means? Do you know if schools generally accept reference letters past the deadline? I noticed that most reference letter requests don't even include the due date on them, and I have one reference who hasn't responded to me in about a week and there's two references due tonight. Would they discard my application if one reference isn't submitted on time?
  9. In past years, it was 1500 words for the entire statement of interest, which encompassed all of the questions they asked. This is the first time it's been split up until multiple questions, so my guess is that they want a max of 1500 words for *all* answers and just didn't clarify that? Not sure though...
