For those who received an admission, will you be accepting? Also, did SDSU give a deadline to respond by?

Still waiting over here. I was able to access the portal, so thanks for sharing that info!

April 15th is the deadline they gave me! Will keep my fingers crossed for you!

If you have created a "MyUCLA" account your provisional offer letter disclosing your financial aid offer will be there.

ahhh thank you! Apparently I never entered my social security number in to the UCLA application so they couldn't match my fafsa lol oops, hopefully it gets processed soon ish! And I will let you know if I hear anything regarding the sdsu aid!

I hope to be in the same boat. I got into UCLA and waiting for SDSU. UCLA did not offer any scholarships or aid outside of loans so I am hoping SDSU offers some form of aid.

Where did you see the financial aid from UCLA? I haven't seen it anywhere! I also can't seem to find where SDSU's offer is either, but it might not have been processed yet since I just heard back.

Congratulations! That is incredible news. Do you plan on attending?

Thank you!!:) I'm between SDSU and UCLA right now, this weekend I'm going to take some time to really learn about each program and see what the best fit is for me!

    Hello Everyone,

I am reaching out to see if any of you have heard any news regarding your admission decisions? I am in a unique scenario of applying to the dual MSW/MPH program unsure whether or not that has any bearing on when I might head back from the school. Have any of you applied for the dual program? Thank you for any help and I hope you all hear good news.

Hi! I applied just for the regular MSW program, but someone posted on another thread that SDSU let them know they would be sending out decisions starting in early April!

nope ?  when i emailed them about some application questions before, they responded so quickly so I'm not sure what's up

aw, bummer! hopefully they respond soon, fingers crossed it means they're busy preparing admission emails to send out this week or something ?

I also applied to SDSU and Portland State! I emailed SDSU yesterday because their website says decisions will be sent out between April 15-June 5, which is way past the confirmation deadline for the schools I've heard back from. Hopefully they respond to me and give me more information!

Hi! Did you ever hear a response from SDSU?

Hi beautiful people! I just wanted to send out a plea lol. If you have decided on a school that you're set on committing to, but still have your applications being considered at other schools, pleeeease consider rescinding your application from those programs you're definitely not going to (or if you've already been admitted, letting them know ASAP to offer your spot to someone else). I know it might feel good to get a few more acceptances and I know the curiosity factor is real (like, you want to know if you'd get in even though you're not going to commit), but in reality it also might be delaying the good news and decisions that others are waiting for. This of course is in no way meant to be pressure anyone to commit to a school/program you're not sure about if financial offers are still being considered, you're undecided, location is an issue, etc. I just mean for people who are like "YES I got into the school that I am definitely going to commit to," please consider letting other schools know that you're going somewhere else ASAP. I say this because I got this response from the director of SFSU re: decision time line for NON-title IV applicants...

"So, this year we considered 345 direct practice applicants for only 27 spots. We have sent out our first few admits and will send out
more next week. As we hear back from people, we will begin to draw from the waiting list."

Good luck to everyone still waiting and huge congratulations to those who have received acceptances!

Thanks for this SFSU update! So weird because when I emailed him he told me 40 spots for for 358 applicants. I guess that means 13 were title IV?

Congratulations to you both!!! I hope you're feeling excited and relieved.

Can I ask if UCLA gave a deadline to respond to the offer?

Thank you! I'm definitely feeling relieved, this is the first school I've heard back from so far so it's nice to have at least one option. The deadline they're giving all applicants is April 15th! Hoping to hear back from other schools before that deadline. Sending you positivity and hope you hear good news soon(:

I was waitlisted at Portland State a couple weeks ago! & I was accepted into UW & that’s where I’m going now!

Ahh I haven't heard anything from them! When did you apply?

Congratulations on UW!! I've heard great things about that school, I hope you have an amazing experience!(:

Jeez, that's such a far away date, considering their applications were due in December. Please let me know if you hear a response! Thank you(:

I applied to Portland and Boise too! Have you heard anything from Portland?

I haven't! I had a mishap with my application back in January and when I was emailing with admissions, they let me know they were planning on sending out decisions mid-march through April! So i'm sure they'll start coming out soon.

I'm applying to Boise because I love the city and am also panicking a little that I didn't apply to enough schools lol, do you know what their acceptance rates are? Also, have you heard from them already regarding your acceptance?

you're so right. thank you for the reassurance! you got this too!

wow that's very good to know! thanks for sharing and for the support(:

so much anxiety!! i didn't really know about schools releasing decisions in waves so i thought if i hadn't heard back yet but other people had, it might be time to catastrophize. also i got into a school (that i don't really want to go to) that wants me to accept my place by tomorrow so that just adds some fun pressure. thanks for the insight!

me too! glad to hear you're staying positive! best of luck to you too!!

I also wanted to mention that someone posted that they reached out to UCLA admissions and were told the only people who have been accepted so far are people for fellowships and highly competitive applicants. They said most others will hear back next week and the week after!

thank you to all of you for your extremely helpful insight and congrats on your acceptances! i'm currently recovering from the pain of a rejection and am ~anxiously~ waiting to hear back from ucla. please tell me i'm not the only one who hasn't heard from them yet? i'm increasingly worried with each passing day that this means i'm not getting in :(

I haven't heard from UCLA yet either! I am thinking the bulk of their decisions are coming out this week and next, since they said mid-march. Many people were accepted for previous years at a date later than where we are now, so don't take no response as a bad sign! Definitely feeling you on the anxiety, I haven't been accepted into any schools yet. Feel free to dm me if you want to talk through some anxieties or rant about anything, hang in there(:

Thank you for your assurance, I'm kind of freaking out because I'm seeing people who applied later than me get interviews/acceptances already and I haven't heard a thing. I had the same idea as you to wait until the next application cycle but here we are! We will never know if we don't try. Hoping you get good news soon!

Yeah I definitely feel it, waiting it out while seeing everyone else hear responses is definitely stress inducing. Whether it's good or bad news, I just want to know haha, I'm sure that we will hear in the next 2 weeks so the anxiety waiting game will soon be over! Fingers crossed for us(:

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting :) It's been so helpful to tap into this community (even shyly as a lurker from the sidelines lol). I really appreciate all the camaraderie, support, celebration, and compassion on this forum. To all those who've been accepted to programs, sending y'all the hugest congratulations! To all those facing rejections, my heart goes out to you!! And I feel your pain - I was just rejected from my top choice (Berkeley) but trying to stay positive as I await to hear back from SFSU. The feeling really sucks, there's no denying it... BUT trying to remind myself that no university can determine my worthiness or my aptitude for greatness - something I hope we can all hold true in our hearts. We will all be amazing social workers some day, if we choose to continue on this path! I believe with every fiber of my being that this year was a BANANAS year to apply to MSW programs, I believe the applicant pools were more competitive than ever before given the pandemic and everyone being flipped on their bottoms, making big life moves, and entering into school and going deeper into helping professions as a response to the crisis.

I'm wondering if anyone who's applied to SFSU has heard back yet? And if so, were you title IV? My understanding is that Title IV applicants probably hear back sooner, as they also have an interview involved (I did not apply for Title IV). I've found less info floating around from SFSU applicants. Thanks in advance for any insight! Crossing my fingers for everyone still waiting on decisions, and sending y'all lots of love! ❤️

Hi! I also applied to SFSU and have also had a hard time finding information/people who have applied. I actually reached out to them last Monday and they let me know they were going to be starting to release decisions in early march and continuing through the month. He also let me know they had room for 40 people in the program and received about 350 applications this year. Alsooo I saw on another thread that title IV recipients were already notified and they had to make their decision on attendance by today, 3/4. So, I'm hoping that means regular decisions will start rolling out really soon! Keeping my fingers crossed for the both of us on getting in!(:

Omg no! That sucks. I reached out to admissions towards the end of January and they told me that they would start sending decisions from mid-march to early may. I really hope its not being pushed back... This month is gonna be a stressful one. Good luck to everyone!

Hmm I forget when the person asked them so maybe it's been updated since they asked! I really hope that they start sending out decisions this month. My anxiety has been at an all time high for the last two months lolll
