Thanks! I mean I will definitely be checking all portals obsessively but it's nice to know how schools normally do things.

Does anyone know how schools send out their acceptance/rejection notifications. Do the schools email you like McGill? or do they update your school portal or the ORPAS portal?

Schools in different provinces have such individuality complexes that I doubt this would ever happen also remember its complex for the students not for the schools so they have very little incentive to change (haha). I think its definitely harder in grad programs like this where it is so common to apply to lots of schools.

Yes same boat here I am wondering if they are sending out rejections in waves? This is a very effective form of torture. I want them to put me out of my misery.

I haven't had a productive day since the end of February. I kinda wish it would be a "times flies" situation but honestly I am expecting the next couple weeks to feel so long haha.

That is really frustrating. What I heard is that you need to have a plan to complete the course at the time you apply. The course is offered in the 2nd winter semester and summer so for example if you apply you can be registered to take it in the winter semester or you can say that you plan to take it in the summer (you can't be registered because summer registration won't be open yet). So I think technically you can wait because you hear about acceptances in April and the summer courses doesn't start until may. I feel like I would be too stressed to test it out without confirmation from the program though.

I have taken AUDI 402 and this is just my own opinion but that course is so much material! Just endless text/readings. There aren't lectures so it can be hard to narrow down important concepts for testing. It is almost unmanageable if you are in any other classes. I would recommend taking your basic anatomy before attempting AUDI at UBC.

Based on what you have listed here you have pretty close to a full year of credits. Would you consider doing in person school for a year just to get them over and done with? It's a big choice and you probably have a good reason for wanting to get things done online. In my experience even online courses that are synchronous have a professor that is really hands off. I know I have struggled for that reason because I benefit from more structure.

Based on the stats of the people who got waitlisted I'm waiting for my rejection. It seems crazy that the the standard is so high!

Same with me! To be fair I took the course before I knew it would be a prerequisite maybe I would have fought harder for a B+

Hey I have that on my UBC application as well but all of my prerequisites are the approved UBC courses so clearly I don't need to upload syllabi because they are approved. So I think that just automatically shows up if you don't upload anything it is not necessarily that you are missing something

I feel really lucky that my subGPA is high (3.9) my overall is way lower I had a really good last year in my degree. But I only recently decided that I wanted to apply to SLP so I have no clinical volunteering. I have other volunteering with children and some stuff for first aid but nothing in an SLP clinic with practitioners. I know they waved the clinical requirements because of COVID but obviously people with lots of clinical experience can & will still apply. Do you know of people who have gotten in similar circumstances (especially Western) I know McMaster relies on subGPA and interview so I should at least get an interview unless something is wrong with my pre-requsitites. I applied to Western, McMaster, McGill and UBC.
