  1. I hear that. This experience is one of a few factors that make me wary of CSSW. I'm deciding between NYU and Hunter now - the only thing that would make me seriously consider Columbia at this point if I'm accepted is a great financial aid package, but I'm not too optimistic about that. That said, it looks like I'll have to make a deposit elsewhere before I hear either way. Mostly I just want the closure of having all my decisions.
  2. I'm in the same boat. I applied Dec 10. I reached out a few weeks ago, and they said I should expect to hear back within 2 weeks, which came and went. Frustrating, as I've asked for multiple extensions from other programs.
  3. Pending program decision. It had been that way for a few weeks. Before that it was just 'submitted.'
  4. I was accepted over the weekend without an interview! I just checked my portal, didn't get an email notification or any response re: the mass interview email. Best of luck to all who are still waiting! Such a confusing week.
  5. How could you tell you didn't get an interview? Did someone contact you? I'm super confused, my portal still says "pending program decision" and I haven't been able to get through to anyone on the chat or via email.
  6. There's a discussion happening about this on the Silberman admissions forum. Copying from a response @kittygirl shared there that they received: "There was an error in the system last night and many people who had not yet been moved to pending interview status were sent invitations. We are currently reviewing all recipients to see who was erroneously sent this invitation and will be following up with those who are indeed pending interview soon with more dates as soon as the system is back online after having been overloaded."
  7. Wow. What a mess. I got the email last night too. I feel for all the staff working on the back end of this today. Thank you for sharing!
  8. I applied just after the priority deadline, something like 12/10.
  9. I got an email update back today - they said I should expect a decision within the next 2 weeks. I was also just granted a second extension from USC and a lengthy first extension from NYU, so it's definitely worth reaching out to your other options. Seems like they're generally willing to work with those of us in this position.
  10. I've been waiting 3 months now (submitted right after the priority deadline) - I emailed for an update and haven't heard back. Definitely also frustrated as I have extended commitment deadlines approaching.
  11. Mine updated to "pending program decision" over the weekend, so I guess I've avoided the interview. Fingers crossed, indeed.
  12. Hey all, Congrats to all of you who have gotten good news recently! My portal still shows my status as "submitted." I submitted 1/25 and got the "completed" notification on 2/17. Is anyone else in this position, and if so, have you had any successful communication with the school?
  13. Have you asked for an extension on your decision deadline? I was able to get an extension from USC and it looks like I'll need to ask for one from NYU soon as well. I'm still waiting to hear from Columbia, Hunter, Smith, and UMich and at this rate I'm not optimistic I'll have all my answers by the end of the month.
  14. I saw on their website they send admissions through the mail, is that true or were you informed via email?
  15. Hi all, Has anyone applied to Smith and heard back yet? Thanks!
  16. Hey there, I had the same issue. I emailed several weeks ago to no response, but just checked my portal and my application was finally marked complete on 2/17. I submitted all my materials on 1/25. Seems like it's just clerical backup. Here's hoping for some news this week!
  17. Nothing yet. I applied late Jan, so I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a bit. I had the same incomplete transcript issue as some others in the Silberman thread - I emailed about it with no response, but hope that isn't causing any delay. Really hoping for an acceptance though, would love that sweet in-state tuition!
  18. Thank you - congrats to you too! I was able to get an extension until March 19, which will hopefully be plenty of time. Still waiting on Hunter, Smith, UMich, and Columbia. Fingers crossed!
  19. Ah, I imagine there are many of us. Would love to hear if you learn anything, and congrats on your acceptance!
  20. Hey there, Has anyone successfully received a decision deadline extension from USC, and for how long? I was accepted last week, but was surprised by the 2 week turnaround. Still waiting on several programs. I've emailed for an extension and haven't heard back.
