Got of the waitlist for Western today!!!! Janet emailed about 2 hours ago  

Email came after my uoZone update. My status changed last friday from "Waiting List" to "Under Evaluation". Then the status disappeared altogether Tuesday! I emailed to inquire and then the next day I got admitted

There has been some movement on the uOttawa waitlist! I just got in yesterday morning and will be accepting. Will be declining Western, ultimately!

Uottawa it's the same thing lol, urgh it's too stressful and frustrating ! 

nope  I'm still waiting. Plus, my status didn't change yet... it's so stressful. I don't wanna be waiting the whole summer haha  

has anyone heard from the uOttawa waitlist yet?

Just wanted to share that I got accepted into UBC a couple weeks ago! I lost all hope when I got rejected from Western on April 1st but this just goes to show -- KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!
It took me 3 tries!!! If it doesn't work out for you this year, KEEP GOING! DON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! DON'T STOP UNTIL YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT! THIS IS YOUR DREAM! YOU CAN DO THIS! 
If you don't believe me, here's my post from the 2020 SLP Canadian thread (TLDR; me giving up, me debating whether or not SLP was for me anymore, sad me): 
"Hi everyone, discouraged applicant here; any advice for me?
It was my second time applying (first serious application this year -- advisor's suggestion to apply last year just to familiarize myself with the process, but I didn't expect to get in) to the same school this year (just one) and I didn't luck out this time around. I'm planning on applying to more schools next year (possibly Western, McMaster, Dalhousie, U of T, McGill). 
I feel my experience (+ the networking I've done thanks to these experiences) is what makes my application strong. I have 2 years research experience, having had a research award/grant and done 3 presentations. I also have worked/volunteered in these settings: school, rehab centre, aphasia rehab groups, autism clinic, and long-term care facility. I also have some ESL teaching experience.
(Not sure if I calculated it correctly but) My current sub GPA is 3.4 (and my cGPA is not so good, I spent ~2 years under a BSc degree = horrible grades in my first year or so). This year, I upgraded some of my undergrad courses as a non-degree student so that helped bring up my sub GPA a little. 
Other than going back and improving my grades some more, I'm not sure what else I should do. 
I feel extremely discouraged and, to be honest, quite lost.

I just recieved my offer from McMaster for SLP (I was waitlisted). I was declined at Western. I only applied to Mac and Western. I have a 3.9 sub-GPA for those who are curious. Very little volunteer experience and none directly related to the field. But I guess at Mac you just need to have the grades and perform well enough on the MMI. 

Anyway, I am probably going to accept. I didn't think I was going to get in to be honest, and I was starting to lean more towards Audiology for next year's application. But I am still very interested in SLP, and given how hard it is to get in, I think it would be foolish to decline, especially since there are very few Audiology programs (and I would probably only apply to Western, if I chose to go that route). Anyone have any thoughts/advice?

I'm still a bit stunned. The news hasn't really sunk in yet, but obviously I feel very fortunate to be accepted. Good luck to everyone and don't give up hope if you are on a waitlist.

Does selecting "After Degree Conferred" for final transcript options on ORPAS also serve as proof of prerequisites completed (since I'm doing 2 this semester) and proof of graduation/diploma for conditional offers? 

I've finally heard back from UdeM, I'm waitlisted! ?
I'm both very happy to still be in the race and worried because I don't know my position in the waitlist yet. I should have more info in a couple of days. I really hope I'm high up because as an international student I don't have much wiggle room to start the immigration process on time... It would be heartbreaking to receive an offer too late and not be able to attend because of that.

haha also me getting anxious... I'm still on the waitlist and I don't know how many people accepted their offer lol

Hi everyone,
I got rejected from everywhere I applied to (3 schools) for my first time applying and am so thankful to have had this forum to read throughout the application process. You can try to explain the competitive nature to family and friends but I have found so much comfort and validity to my stress reading through everyone's comments -- and the positivity and encouragement makes it impossible to be bitter knowing that so many people have tried 2-3 times to get in, acceptances are so well deserved.  To be honest, I have felt a little isolated in my stress and having to keep picking myself up because no one around me has gone through the same thing, so thank you to those who have shared stories and experiences. 
I wrote this yesterday to help process my rejections and instantly felt a little lighter, I hope those of you who didn't get accepted this year can find some light in it too. 
For months,
I awoke mid-sleep
My subconscious 
alight
Having dreamt
Of delight, 
acceptance
Finally, 
what I so deeply wished for
validity 
to all that I’d worked for. 
 
Rejected, 
Denied, 
Yet --
I am proud 
Of what grace
And self-
compassion

I just got into Western! I am in utter disbelief right now. Congrats to everybody!
