  1. Hi everyone! I was accepted to Western SLP, however, I also applied to multiple occupational therapy programs. The offers for OT do not get released until May 14. If I hit "firm acceptance" for Western SLP, does anyone know if my OT applications will stay open and if I can hypothetically change it later? I think I am leaning towards SLP, but would like to have the choice if the chance arises! Many thanks
  2. I just got into Western! I am in utter disbelief right now. Congrats to everybody!
  3. I also applied to OT! Theres a forum called OT/PT accepted/waitlist/decline forum - 2021 cycle on Premed 101 Forums
  4. Does anyone know if the waitlist for Mac been sent out yet? Or if they will be sending out more invitations?
  5. Hi everyone! Does anyone know if each school calculates the applicants sGPA individually, or do they just take it from ORPAS? I am just wondering because 4 of my credits are from practicum courses and ORPAS did not include these courses in their calculations. However, I know McMaster does include practicum courses so I wasn't sure if they would automatically recalculate my sGPA or I would have to inform them? Also, does anyone know if any other schools include practicum courses (I also applied to UOT, and then Queens for OT)? Thanks for your help guys
  6. Hi everyone! My plan is to apply at Western and McMaster for Speech Pathology and at Queens and UOT for occupational therapy. Is anyone also applying to both SLP and OT? I am a bit confused right now about how to guide my academic references to speak on both programs behalf if anyone has any tips. I am also a bit nervous about my professional reference. I know that Western waved the clinical reference this year but said that if you have a speech pathologist as a reference they can use the academic form. I did ask a speech pathologist for a reference, so would this make the speech pathologist my professional reference for my OT applications? If this is the case, do you think that this would look bad to the occupational therapy programs? The reason I am asking is because I am wondering if it will just be better all together if I ask my work supervisor (I work at daycare) to write my reference as I have known her much longer (I worked on a project for the SLP and had a min of 4 meetings with her). Sorry if the wording is confusing guys, I had a hard time finding the right wording to express my questions. Any opinions are welcome, please help me out of my dilemma! Also, one last thing, does anyone know is applying to SLP and OT at Western and McMaster is frowned upon?
