Anybody hear back about the Bloomberg Fellowship? Or at least know when we will hear back? So excited to have been accepted to Hopkins DrPH, but this is a very expensive program ?

That’s somewhat similar to what I’m interested in. I’ve been working on how access to HRT and other transition related medical care relates to substance use (specifically injection) practices among transgender people who use drugs. It’s something I’m super passionate about and hope to continue doing in the field and/or academically  

That’s awesome!! I’m interested in the epidemiology of pain, knowledge translation/patient engagement in research, and guideline/clinical tool development for rare or evolving conditions!

I checked my email this morning and was thrilled to see an acceptance to CUNY SPH in Epidemiology (PhD). The program is a great fit for me and was actually the only one I applied to this season, so I'm beyond thrilled it worked out - I know they've been getting much more competitive in recent years so I had my doubts. Y'all...this is my third (!!!) round of applications and I finally received my first acceptance from Johns Hopkins Social and Behavioral Sciences PhD! I think I'm still in shock. Hope everyone waiting also heard back!

I was admitted to and have accepted an offer from Vanderbilt Health Policy.
For posterity's sake, here are my results and their dates:
Wisconsin Population Health Sciences PhD: Acceptance, January 5.
Johns Hopkins University Health Policy and Management PhD: Waitlist, February 9.
Michigan Health Services Organization and Policy PhD: Rejection, February 9.
Vanderbilt Health Policy PhD: Acceptance, February 21.
UNC Health Policy and Management PhD: No response.

Refreshing my inbox every single hour. I hope this week we receive good news! All the best everyone. 

I am going to grow old and die waiting for emails from admissions from the two programs I am waiting on. At least I am pretty certain I am rejected from one of them because I've seen them talked about too much for me to not have anything from them, but the other program is trying to do permanent damage to my nerves or something.
     I interviewed with them 1 month ago now-- I haven't seen anyone post acceptance or rejection to them, and I know people in the school but a different department so I know how they do the process at this school so I know that I am only waiting on the department or the admissions office at this point. final decisions will have been made at the end of January, funding awards from the school were given back to the department 2 weeks ago. I am just waiting on the department to tell the admissions office whether I'm accepted or not because people in other departments have been notified.
     I'm starting to suspect that maybe they made an offer to another candidate an are just waiting on that person to accept or reject so that they can know whether they can offer it to me...

Hey.. Likewise.. Haven't heard back about funding.. I am really surprised at the funding situation. It's top university and they seem to be not so good at funding. And I am an international student, so it gets even trickier

Anyone here accepted to the University of Arizona's Epi program? I received an acceptance and would love to connect with others!

Agree wholeheartedly with this year's tough cycle. As an international, I was convinced by POIs to apply to as many programs as I can (which was quite expensive), but it was worth it. The feeling of acceptance is priceless, and I hope everyone will have one this cycle. Fingers crossed for everyone here!

Rutgers DrPH folks -- I've been accepted! I am so thrilled and in disbelief. This is my first doctorate cycle and so far I've just received a rejection, so I am just so absolutely happy about this. I have really loved every interaction with Rutgers so I know it'll be great if I accept. 
I applied to the fellowship program at JHU so since that'd be full funding, I'd probably have to choose that one if I get in. But that's getting accepted to that program plus the fellowship, so I'm not holding my breath too hard there. In any case, check your emails.

Just got an interview invite from Drexel’s Community Health and Prevention PhD program

Hi! I have already declined interviews for the following programs (as I am well-settled with my one acceptance and have already confirmed that I will attend). I hope anyone of you will end up in one or more of them:

Long-time lurker on this forum, but just heard back from my first school! Interviewing with CUNY Environmental and Planetary Health Sciences on Friday. This is my first time applying, any tips on how to best prepare for the interview? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Official rejection from Johns Hopkins on Wednesday (Health Policy PhD, Health and Public Policy track).
Official Acceptance from George Washington today (Health Policy PhD).
I knew the GW acceptance was coming as I have been in discussions with the GWU admissions team about funding for the past few days because I have partial external funding (GI Bill) available and they wanted to make sure their offer would cover the difference.

Hey all! I told myself I was going to stay off gradcafe this year but here we are...
This is my third (yes third!!!) year applying for PhD programs. I changed up a few schools this year and am hoping this is the year! So far:
Northwestern Health Sciences Integrated Program in Social Sciences & Health: Interview invite received 1/14
Brown Behavioral and Social Health Sciences: Interview invite received 1/18
Johns Hopkins Social and Behavioral Sciences: still waiting
UCSD/SDSU Joint Health Behavior: still waiting
University of Toronto Social and Behavioural Health Sciences: still waiting
University of British Columbia: still waiting
University of Washington Public Policy and Governance (not public health I know but including anyways): still waiting
Approaching this year with much more patience and much less stress. Hope y'all are hanging in there!

I am popping myself into this thread to keep up the love and mutual support through this application process. I'm interested (so far) in the JHSPH, Harvard, BU, and GW programs. I'm sure I'll modify that list as time goes on especially with doubtlessly ensuing discussion. 
Powerliftingnerd, I have the same question.
 
In addition, I want to know how important is/are:
1. BA GPA (as compared to MPH GPA and GRE scores and experience (claro))
2. experience post-graduation. I am just finishing my MPH now, but I worked in public health for over a decade.
