  1. I really didn't think it would happen but I know one other person who got it on their first round. I wish we got more insight into the scoring and what it actually means.
  2. I've been lurking here for awhile and have never posted before. But I thought I'd share my results. A little background: I'm a second year MA student, starting my PhD in the Fall. I don't have any publications but I have 2 conference presentations, I was an organizer for the student-run conference in my program, I'm also the equity officer for the program's graduate student association, as well as one of the MA representatives on the program's executive committee, and I've been a TA for a year and a half. Outside of my program, I was a research assistant and community liaison between a university archives centre and a historical society in the summer of 2019. I should also note that I received the CGS-M for this academic year as well as another award adjudicated by my program. I don't want to get into the specifics of my project but it's interdisciplinary and builds on the research I'm doing for my MA. I was awarded a CSG-D, as a first time applicant with a score of 16.95/20 (committee 3) I didn't think I would get it but I'm relieved because I hate grant writing. Congrats to anyone who received funding, and good luck to those who are still waiting for results or reapplying next year!
