  1. Has anyone reached out to Alberta to ask when we might hear back?
  2. So exciting people are getting calls finally! For those who got a call - does your portal now show the decision?
  3. Thanks for emailing! My portal isn't showing the conditions of admission section anymore, maybe they fixed the issue??
  4. Same here, still in pre-screening.
  5. Mine also says this... when I was submitting my application I had a lot of technical issues and ended up having to contact a bunch of different people to get it resolved, and they did mention that is is a new system and they are still working out bugs. I would imagine this this likely what is happening.
  6. I have not reached out - let us know what they say if you get a response back. In the portal my application is still showing as being in the pre-screening phase. Is everyone else the same?
  7. Thanks for the update!! Has anyone spoken to Alberta?
  8. Yes, quite literally all I am thinking about. I feel like I check this forum and my email like every 30 mins lol. Fingers crossed we hear soon!
  9. CONGRATS! That is so exciting! I am surprised they are sending out decisions so early. Do you mind letting us know if you applied for the thesis track or not, and also if you are Nova Scotia residents? Just trying to figure out the order they are sending these letters out in.
  10. Congrats!! That is so exciting! I have a couple questions - if you don't mind me asking. Do you live in Alberta or did you apply to any scholarships? Just trying to figure out if they are sending decisions to in-province applicants first or what.
  11. Hey! There is definitely fewer posts this year than in previous years. I am hoping it is because less people applied this round. Fingers crossed. I am thinking that during the pandemic there was an influx of applications because people just had time on their hands/were getting laid off/etc. This is my 3rd round applying. My first year I only applied to UofT (closest to home) because I was sick of pandemic schooling lol, last year I applied to only Ontario schools and got waitlisted at UofT. This year I applied to UofT, Western, McMaster (did not get an MMI invite), McGill, UofA, and Dal (my top choice). I am really hoping to get in this year cause I am SO ready to get rolling in this career. I have a gut feeling I will get in this year, so here's hoping I am right!
  12. Wondering if anyone else is writing the CASPer test next week and would like to share practice questions or maybe set up a video call to practice the video responses and give each other feedback.
  13. I have decided to apply to all the Canadian schools this year. I have seen in the past that GRE scores were required for Alberta and Dalhousie. I believe they are no longer required - is this correct?
  14. Hey! Does anyone have any insight on UofT’s waitlist? I know we can’t find out where we are on the list but do we know how many people are usually waitlisted, how many get in off the waitlist, how early/late we could hear back about it? ANY info on their process for waitlisted applicants would be super appreciated!
  15. Hey guys, congrats to everyone! i got waitlisted at UofT. Does anyone know if they send out offers as soon as spots open or if they wait until after first round offers expire? also is there literally ANY way to find out where u sit on the waitlist/how many ppl are on it?
  16. Just got an email about my GPA/sub-GPA being calculated. McMasters' website says the cutoff for an offer for MMI last year was 3.84 (literally 97% average - which is fucked). I have a good average, but its not 3.84. My question - if I am below that cutoff does that automatically mean I won't get an interview? My sub-GPA is 3.77, so its close.
