  1. Based on previous years, an invited status with a deposit amount on Acorn means you have been accepted. The delay between Acorn and SGS portal is usually 2-3 days, while people getting waitlisted may hear back in a week. I saw on Reddit too MEd Counselling applicants have started seeing the invited status on Acorn since yesterday.
  2. I have received the UofT MSW email too, waitlisted. Congratulation to those that have been accepted! For those waitlisted, I shall see more of you here Don't forget to respond to accept your waitlist status!
  3. I have been waitlisted. This round was a smaller pool of people so unsure if anyone else was looking for this update. I hope to get off the waitlist but it is a very desired program for a lot of people.
  4. No both programs are course-based so there was no PI selection. I hope you hear from your program soon!
  5. I don't think so because MRFT/MP are with the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition not Psychology. Though they share faculty members. Did you meet with potential PIs? Check out the clinical psychology thread on this forum. Some people might have applied to AS there.
  6. Has anyone received email communication from Guelph MRFT or MP? They said successful candidates will be contacted first early this week. It might be too soon since it is only Monday morning but I can't stop myself from checking my email every five minutes. I thought to channel my energy out on this forum.
  7. Hello Everyone and thank you for starting this thread. This will be my second time applying. I am only going to apply to UFT M.Ed Counselling and Psychotherapy and MSW, and Athabasca M.Ed Counselling. I do not meet admission requirement for most other Ontario programs. I have a cumulative 3.2 GPA and 3.5 average in my last year. I have five years of volunteer experience in various settings (crisis line, one-on-one with adult with mental health issues, work with youths). Currently I work with children with ASD/ADHD/etc. I am not too hopeful because my GPA is not that great, I do not have any experience working in counselling, and my supportive work with adults was limited to volunteering roles. However, I hope to write a good statement focusing on transferrable skills. Let's start this journey together! Feel free to msg me
  8. It would be 2-3 emails sent to you soon after you submitted your application. Email key words like UofT student number, JoinID. You need both to activate an acorn account. Find these emails first and they should tell you what to do.
  9. yes based on my friend's experience and this forum last year. ofc I cannot be sure what their system is
  10. my friend who applied to master of social work last year said OISE update results alphabetically by last name (applicants on this forum deduced it). maybe the backlog is referring to that. like they are still working through the list by last name. just my speculation.
  11. The application portal. The one that shows your application status. However, many people’s statuses have not been changed from “submitted”. I have heard that they are still working on it.
  12. I believe they are referring to CFT Guelph. I saw the same status on my webadvisor.
  13. I checked my webadvisor status and it says “refused, no space”. Some other people received rejection either by email or found out through webadvisor.
