Based on last year’s spreadsheet, it looks like some people got weekend calls. I think it’s very possible that the calls end up going out in the evenings or over weekends when people aren’t working. I envision them finishing discussions and then making some calls same day which would push the times to later? But I don’t actually have any intel, am just imagining scenarios

I also can’t help but wonder if it’s another Vandy situation where someone is just trolling us

I got a doordash call last night and nearly had a heart attack. Deep breaths.

I saw in MFA draft ‘23 that bots get ahold of our numbers through our apps as well so you might start getting tons of spam from Iowa, etc. So just brace for it. I thought Vandy was calling me from TN and it was just “student loan forgiveness” spam

Did Didi know when decisions are rolling out?

I assume the interviews are then just screening to make sure admitted students aren’t going to be dicks in workshop. But I know NOTHING

I was looking through draft ‘23 (like a totally sane, rational, non-obsessive, you know) and poetry calls historically came out end of jan/early feb and fiction don’t come until end of feb for Syracuse

Same but also it looks like some programs still make calls over the weekends based on last year’s draft. It just feels so eerily quiet probably because AWP but come on results

I am over here trying to triangulate between when notifications came out last year versus this year so far to predict when I might hear something from additional programs while trying to not completely lose it. 0a/1r/0w/11p

Applied to 11 programs + a Hail Mary to Stegner and am now just anxiously awaiting results starting next month. I did: Indiana-Bloomington, UW-M, Michener, Zell, Iowa, NYU, Brown, JHU, UVA, Syracuse, Vanderbilt. This is my first year applying. I’m 36 and on my second career and have kids, I have low expectations for this year but also just want to know any information at all so I can know what my next year will look like.
