Thanks! If u don't mind, where are you seeing that it's the same person? The michener acceptance in the spreadsheet is under a pseudonym that only has one other entry and it's not Vandy🫡 -

Have we established that Michener fiction went out but not poetry yet? Let me keep my hope one more night... -

Oh shoot! Re: litowitz, I'm wondering which it is now too as I'd like to apply but I'm bad at writing fiction lol! -

Nah don't worry, that's what i thought. I just wish I had realized before applying! I should have applied for the litowitz instead! Well, there's always next year! @3feetofsnow there's barely anything about it online. I had applied to it bc NW is listed on the profellow fully funded list (probably bc of litowitz). Probably just gonna give up on chicago, no worries haha -

Anyone have advice for who and what I should email to find out if Nw Is offering me funding? I got an automated portal email admitting me, lol. I'm a noob (obviously) -

After posting this, I quickly realized Northwestern isn't fully funded (I thought I had applied to only funded schools but I guess one slipped through the cracks...) and my excitement faded lol -

Ahahaha like I knew it didn't say creative writing but it doesn't seem completely implausible that there could be some kind of relationship between the departments' timing? Or maybe I *am*losing it. -

@electricstardust I have no advice, just solidarity (I am almost entirely unpublished and struggle with putting myself out there) and a suggestion that recently there was a post on Draft you might consult with a ton of lit mags in the comments. Also, congrats on your acceptances! You're doing great! -

Sure! There are four entries for USC: an acceptance from 1/19 (fic), and three waitlists all sent 2/21 (two fic, one poetry). So there could still be waitlists coming. -

Hjanep (not sure about their genre!) asked last week and someone got back saying it was "in faculty hands" meaning they have eliminated the vast majority of apps and decisions could be coming soon. -

Oh, I am definitely the same kind of sick. I told myself early in the process I wasn't going to judge myself for caring about the results. I think it would make me even more lame to pretend that I don't care whether I get in... -

Yes, this is my first time applying! However, I am in the 23 Draft (but you can only scroll so far back before FB glitches and dies.) Also, I just looked at the 23 spreadsheet and I may have been wrong about acceptances going out until late March. It might be more like early March. Last year someone on Draft got an acceptance for poetry on 3/6, and the year before someone on here got an acceptance for poetry on 3/2. Basically I've just cobbled together a sense of when they notify based on posts from past years. Most of this information has only entered my brain over the past few weeks, because I only found gradcafé recently. -

Last year I believe Iowa began the week of Valentine's with a fiction acceptance (the guy posted it here and on Draft) and stretched into late March. Michener, I'm not so sure about, though I did apply. -

Yup. I love how we're all just online trying to get through this weekend, even though we'd usually be savoring it! I agree @Scribe. There's still time to get this sorted out. I had issues with one of my recommenders (earlier in the process though) and I swallowed my pride and double-emailed him and he came through. I'm sorry you're dealing with this and I hope it works out! -

I just googled the Stegner fellowship for the first time after hearing about it enough times to suggest that it's the most sought after ones. Wow! If I don't get into an Mfa, I'm definitely applying to that... -

I agree that there probably aren't trolls on Draft. I understand people on the graduate cafeteria being suspicious, though, especially given the history with He Of The Many Usernames... -

Re: Syracuse, not sure when rejections will come -- I haven't gotten a rejection for poetry yet, weeks after they accepted poets. -

Omg, no worries. That is basically what I am expecting from JH - it mirrors my experience perfectly so far. I have to admit I'm getting my hopes up for Vanderbilt though, even though someone from draft told me no one declined their acceptance last year. Well, a little hope never killed any body...or did it?
