  1. I got accepted to CalArts' Art and Technology MFA and RISD's Sculpture MFA and some more(saic atsp, pratt digital arts..). I'm torn between the two calarts and Risd. If I consider the major, CalArts seems better, but RISD has better name value(in my opinion). I don't plan to become an artist after graduation; I want to work in a practical field like an agency. If I go to RISD, I don't want to do sculpture anymore and would prefer to take classes in other departments. Is that possible? What you guys think? CalArts offers much more scholarship money, $22,000 annually compared to RISD's $5,000 assistantship scholarship. It's a tough decision. Help me choose.
  2. got accepted to Pratt Digital Media - Interactive Art offers an annual scholarship of $32,000, CalArts Art and Tech provides $22,000 annually, and SAIC Art and Tech offers $14,000 per year. Which one should I choose? Can you guys recommend, with reasons? Just so you know, I'm an international student who has been working in sculpture in the fine arts field for a while, but now feeling burnt out and looking to transition into a more practical field like agencies.
  3. I originally majored in sculpture and have been involved in fine arts for a long time, but I've been thinking about moving into more practical areas and considering art combined with technology. I've applied to various art and technology programs and have been accepted to CalArts (Art and Technology) and SAIC (Art and Technology/Sound Practice), and I'm waiting for results from Pratt (Digital Media) and Parsons (Design and Technology). I've also been waitlisted for RISD (Sculpture). Between CalArts and SAIC, I'm leaning towards SAIC because they offered me more scholarship money. However, if I get into Parsons or Pratt, which should I choose? I'd like to know about the atmosphere, career paths, and their reputations. Also, is it possible to find out if anyone has been taken off the waitlist for RISD's Sculpture program?
