It does feel icky but what helped me is thinking about the logistics. For me a move from California to Boston is going to be expensive and once you consider how much debt you’ll accumulate through interest alone, it helps nudge you and put things into perspective. My best advice is it doesn’t hurt to ask. My mentors told me they’ve never heard of an offer being rescinded bc of asking for extra financial assistance. idk where you’re located or if you’re gonna have to move but that aspect and competitive offers, I hear, are most convincing. Moving somewhere else has a lot of considerations: travel expenses, insurance, brief pauses in employment, and more if you have a spouse/kids/animal relocating with you.

Hopefully this week but I know they had city closures this week bc of the blizzard and now today they are facing a scandal with one of their teachers in another department. It may have no effect but who knows.

Rejected from Yale painting yesterday and Hunter today … haven’t heard from SAIC but got an email from their photo department (so odd) but figured that will be a rejection too bc I did see a few people in here get interviews. Holding out hope and prepping for my interview with Boston Uni

UHG SAME… something about “decided” feels so much scarier. Has anyone been through apps with Hunter? Does this generally mean rejected or is it a toss up? I don’t know when they sent interviews out but I did not get one.

I’m also wondering this for all schools… does anyone know if it’s one or two rounds of interviews?
