Congrats to the UGA admit! meo03 was it you? Guess this means I'm going to have a mild heart attack every time I check the mail. Though, who knows how long a MA decision could take. Unfortunately, I foresee my Mardi Gras break being more stressful than it should be. Congrats to everyone else who has recently been admitted.

Hey ModUsGirl, did you hear anything about funding from LSU this week? Nothing over here. I'm getting more and more anxious as the days go by. I just want to know how solid of choice it'll be!!

I think you're best resource might be the university you will be attending! My small college offered a lot of resources for undergrads when it came to banks and the like. They even had a deal with a local credit union (like a free savings account when you open a checking one). As for my experiences with banks, I am with a federal credit union for state employees (through my mom). They've been nothing but helpful when I've had problems arise. My boyfriend has had serious problems with his national bank and recently switched to a new one. Definitely do research. Some banks will offer accounts without fees if you deposit a certain amount at once. But like I said at first, ask around at your university or attend a merchant/vendors fair during orientation.

Waiting for two (UGA and Tulane) and also waiting to hear about funding from my one acceptance. I'm kind of over waiting, but at the same time, I just want to hear something... anything!

My UT Austin decision just rolled over on the website. I'm so sad. Sigh. Maybe I'll try again after I get a Masters.

I applied to UGA! but the masters program. I'm probably doing a masters first, but I think I'm okay with that. I need a bit more experience since I'm coming from a small small school. I got a call last night from a Georgia number. It freaked me out cause it was a spam number or my one friend in Georgia. But would someone call at 10pm? Waiting for official notice from UT and also anything from Tulane.

Alright, well now I've lost a bit of hope. BUT congrats to everyone who did get notified!

I wish I would have found out about it earlier! It answered so many questions I never thought of asking anyone... so now I know where I went wrong and why no one loves me (except LSU, I just want them to love me with their nonexistent money).

I'm not gonna give up on Texas until the admits say something discouraging, a wave of rejects hits the board, or I get my own. I refuse! I would love to go there.

Congrats on the two UT acceptances today. Does anyone want to claim them? I'm really nervous now since more than one decision is out.

Just got a rejection from Georgetown's MAGIC program in the mail. I'm sad, but not really. D.C. would have been a far trek for me anyways. I'm hoping for two more decisions this week though. Maybe one will come with good news (and money plz?).

Texas is the decision I'm going crazy over the most. It has to be soon, but not soon enough.

I was told March. Also, I have a question about your decision letter. Mine said something like "Test Scores InComplete" after the line about my final transcript. I emailed them about it but no one has gotten back to me about it. The PAWS status check had my GRE test scores so I have no clue what this is talking about. Does yours have the same line?

Been lurking here for a while, but I wanted to join in the madness. Hehe. But hello! I am a first-timer, but I was also accepted into LSU (MA) the last week of January, but it's been radio silence since. LSU was my safety school, but every once in a while I feel like it's gonna be the best and/or only option. At least I have one, but I'm going nutzo waiting for the rest.
