  1. It can be....if you wanna make sure the right file is uploaded to the right place...you wanna go very slow
  2. that sucks... mine is more forthcoming....they def have the list sent from nserc though...
  3. Got my result through the faculty of grad studies. I basically told then I had access issues and can you let me know if I got it. Unfortunately the result is No. i wasn’t on the list they received from nserc. I suspect i am not even on the waitlist. My last time applying so good luck everyone !!!
  4. Yes....it is getting close to 5 pm in the East....ppl typically start winding down after 430 pm i think...
  5. 201 here...I think we may be the last to be uploaded (everything is being done manually at NSERC)
  6. No surprise...they probably log into the same portal and click on the upload document tab. I wonder if we can upload random stuff up there but I am too timid to try
  7. For those who won, did you include an EDI component ? The nature of my research does not have one...curious how that will impact my application. I know it's a bit late asking.
  8. That is very late...last year it was all together (ranking plus results)
  9. Seriously only one from Committee 201 on this forum ? Or even engineering ? Can I take that as a very non-competitive year ?
  10. more evidence that the entire process is mostly MANUAL.......in this day and age...unreal but heck governments are billions in debt ... no complains
  11. I suspect they are in the process of uploading yours. Technically speaking you can upload whatever you want yourself it seems and they have to block that access for the process to work on their end. This is my hypothesis tho,
  12. Did you get an email heads up from NSERC at all ?
  13. I just checked...mine also said "Received"..did you pass the competition at the University level?
  14. It's lunch time EST...maybe the uploaders are out for lunch or tending their kids
  15. Last year NSERC basically said all results will be up ON April 16 by 11:59 pm. I guess they are being very vague this year by saying you will get an email when the results are up. Sounds like they automated something possibly to avoid everyone refreshing their page every minute all at once....(better than nth I guess!!!)
  16. Shit...I am also friendly with grad admin et al.....now I am even more anxious that no news means bad news.
  17. Best of luck everyone..I just found out that there is a tab function where you can upload documents and create new folders in the Applicant Library. I suspect thats how the feedback and letters will be uploaded. Yes you guess it right...manually.
  18. Last name Z and I got the login this morning. Note that this is the second time (and final) I am applying so I do have the login and password from last year. It seems that I do not need to re-create another account (i.e. I can just use what I got from last year). The interface has changed though as the folder and feedback files from last year were gone. Now the waiting game has officially started !!! Good luck everyone!
  19. Waiting still...last name starts with Z
  20. Anyone applying for the second time? The email did say I can use the previous username. Perhaps that's why I haven't seen the email about login credentials. Also nothing on the website yet except the feedback letter from last year.
  21. My first reaction is NO. Some research simply don't have the EDI components and if you force-tweak your proposal to include EDI, you fall victims of platitude which actually works against your application. The best you can do in this scenario is to put out a good explanation on why the research has nothing to do with EDI.
  22. I want to start this thread to get ready for the tax season in April next year. The federal government is rolling out additional tax credits for anyone working from home (either forced or voluntary). It seems like the T2200 form does not apply to graduate students who were told by the university to work remotely this year and into next year as well. Has anyone received information regarding the eligibility to claim expenses of working from home due to university policies ? The latest I've heard is the $400 deduction everyone can claim without extensive back up and proofs.
  23. Nope...didn't bother.....applying again this year for one last time!!!
