I can't believe there are 40 people following the forum right now. There's a lot of nervous souls searching and yearning for their Fulbright acceptance letter, lol.
Congratulations on your level up! Haha. I'm sure this is only the first of the good news you'll receive in the next few days.
Please, Mary Magdalene, help us!
I can't believe people have started hearing back already!
albelien, you must've had very high ratings for them to be so excited that they couldn't wait for the U.S. commissions board to notify you first!
It felt like just yesterday I was cruising through the posts and still figuring out my essays. Now, the time has come... and I flinch every time I open my email because I imagine the name "Fulbright" poping up.
Thanks! This really means a lot to me. I hope we all hear back good news in the next couple weeks. Let's keep our fingers crossed! Either that or pray to all the deities you know and hope that one of them is watching out for you. Personally, I'm going to Mary Magdalene.
I agree with Books2readme's statement. It's important to recognize that there is a huge imbalance in opportunities in our great nation, and diversity needs to emphasized in order to have a more equal American society.
I don't know how I'm going to handle these next couple of weeks. I've placed too much importance, status, and honor onto the Fulbright that I feel like I'll be devastated if anything but good news comes my way. Any fellow applicants in the same situation?
By the way, I was just reviewing my application, and on top there is a space that says:
Rating: N MA MW S RM FW
Does anybody know what those acronyms mean?
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that the season brings great things to you. Stay warm, go play in the snow (if you have it), and just be thankful for everything we have! I'm always glad to have GradCafe and all of our "secrets" into the admissions process. I see some of my friends--who STILL haven't taken my advice to join GradCafe--confused and nervous all by themselves through these types of things. Bless GradCafe!
I think this is just an innocent mistake. I would email whoever's in charge of your Fulbright region and tell them because this could very well affect your chances of getting a scholarship.
