  1. What do you think happened your first and second time?
  2. I can't believe there are 40 people following the forum right now. There's a lot of nervous souls searching and yearning for their Fulbright acceptance letter, lol.
  3. Yes! Let's take a train to Washington D.C. and try to make it big! If not we can always work at Wendys. Though, I've heard they require a Ph. D. now.
  4. right wing
  5. I don't know who you really are, but I feel like we would be best friends. Your posts are always the funniest, lol.
  6. You think so?! Why do they do that?! My FPA and the entire office never sends me anything!!!
  7. I'm going on GradCafe before I check my email every time so I can prepare for the email when it comes.
  8. Congratulations on your level up! Haha. I'm sure this is only the first of the good news you'll receive in the next few days. Please, Mary Magdalene, help us!
  9. I can't believe people have started hearing back already! albelien, you must've had very high ratings for them to be so excited that they couldn't wait for the U.S. commissions board to notify you first!
  10. It felt like just yesterday I was cruising through the posts and still figuring out my essays. Now, the time has come... and I flinch every time I open my email because I imagine the name "Fulbright" poping up.
  11. Thanks! This really means a lot to me. I hope we all hear back good news in the next couple weeks. Let's keep our fingers crossed! Either that or pray to all the deities you know and hope that one of them is watching out for you. Personally, I'm going to Mary Magdalene.
  12. LOL!!! YES. Exactly.
  13. My campus adviser doesn't seem to be in "the know." I wish my school was more involved in the whole process so I could've gotten some inside details.
  14. I agree with Books2readme's statement. It's important to recognize that there is a huge imbalance in opportunities in our great nation, and diversity needs to emphasized in order to have a more equal American society.
  15. I don't know how I'm going to handle these next couple of weeks. I've placed too much importance, status, and honor onto the Fulbright that I feel like I'll be devastated if anything but good news comes my way. Any fellow applicants in the same situation?
  16. You can do it through the Embark website. You can click on "view application" or something of the sort on the left hand buttons.
  17. By the way, I was just reviewing my application, and on top there is a space that says: Rating: N MA MW S RM FW Does anybody know what those acronyms mean?
  18. With your experience applying in the past and learning from your mistakes, I'm sure you'll be successful this year.
  19. The month is here! Only a couple more weeks until we get a little closer to our destination. Lord, please bless us!
  20. This is actually quite frightening. If I don't see the word "pleased" within the first sentence of the email, I'll probably go into shock. Lol...
  21. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that the season brings great things to you. Stay warm, go play in the snow (if you have it), and just be thankful for everything we have! I'm always glad to have GradCafe and all of our "secrets" into the admissions process. I see some of my friends--who STILL haven't taken my advice to join GradCafe--confused and nervous all by themselves through these types of things. Bless GradCafe!
  22. One more month until we know if we got into the finals!!! The suspense is killing me!!!
  23. I think this is just an innocent mistake. I would email whoever's in charge of your Fulbright region and tell them because this could very well affect your chances of getting a scholarship.
  24. Same here. I wonder what they're thinking when they read my application. I want to be thrown into the "Definitely Yes" pile I imagine them having.
  25. Totally! I don't remember seeing anyone posting a link of one for this year yet, so it's all you!
