Indeed, but I've also heard Israeli universities don't have a lot of street cred in academia, which is a shame. But I love Tel Aviv and it would be exciting to live there again! Definitely considering the option! and I would sort of love to have to be that good at Hebrew.

haha right?! So kind of like Aventura (palm trees, lots of Israelis, bad drivers), I just checked my app status for Tel Aviv U and I got into their MA in Middle East Studies. Exciting, but lots of things to consider (whether I want to do my MA entirely in Hebrew being a major question.) Hmm..

Ahhhh chaverim, now I know a new fact about you, crazed! F train? Did I ever say F train specifically? Hah! I take Hebrew at NYU now (just as an auditor) and I actually need the B train for that... I'm also hoping for a cherry from NYU! but for a dual program, so its going to take a while.

It is something, thanks crazedandinfused! and I love The New School very much. GREAT professors, very supportive department, and you can't beat the location. I don't know if anyone in this forum applied there, but feel free to PM me. I know every history professor pretty much, and most of them I know very well - would be glad to tell you about the program and the university.

So I came out of today with one acceptance - to my alma matter's graduate program. It's a great back up option if there is funding, which I won't know for a while, but I also have about a years worth of credits there so I can finish the degree in about a year/year and a half. Wouldn't mind but still aiming for a phd program. Sigh. Good weekend, everyone.

Hey all. As we start our Friday, I just want to say good luck to all of us. I personally haven't received good news yet, and I know I'm not alone... but it is far from over! I hope some of us get good news this Friday so we can have a fun, relaxing weekend. PS - History geek update: I'm going to the New York Historical Society today with my family. I'll let you know how it is - they just renovated and I'm excited to see the new space and exhibits.

well it's 5PM est. unless i hear a word from UCLA, it's been a long boring day and tomorrow is Friday, so it might be the end of another week with not a peep!

Don't give up hope yet! I don't think everyone heard from UCLA, since yesterday was just all these folks who got unfunded offers. Maybe they are doing things in waves. The rest of the people who heard previously heard from POIs, so nothing official has gone out (from what I can tell) for people with funded offers. Keep the faith! *Just saw on the results page, one funded offer. Hmm.
