  1. I'm putting together packets for my LoR writers. I'm already including my resume and SOP, but is there anything else? Should I include GRE scores? Thanks!
  2. I just replied to your other post! My scores actually went up! 160V, but I scored the same in Q (my program doesn't look at this too hard so its okay). I was in a complete panic the week leading up to my test because I was so worried I was going to score lower. I used the two free practice tests on ETS and the one on Manhattan. I'm guessing the score discrepancy is because the practice tests are not adaptive???
  3. My practice scores got significantly lower the week before the test ( lower than my original GRE scores), which gave me severe anxiety about taking the test. I took it yesterday and my scores actually went up!
  4. I did a minimal amount of studying (maybe learned a few strategies and went over a few math problems the day before) and scored a 156V and a 152Q. These scores are okay, but I felt that with some actual studying I could improve. After a few months of studying, I am scoring significantly lower than my first scores. I'm retaking the test on Saturday and I am panicking. Did this happen to anyone else? Should I just stop studying? Was I just making lucky guesses the first time?
  5. Thank you! I'm just really nervous, and kicking myself for not going when I first got in.
  6. I think Florida State has one (or maybe they used to).
  7. I don't have anybody to talk about his to, so I'm looking for some feedback. I graduated from college almost 3 years ago and was even admitted to a few graduate schools. Due to a family member's health issues, that began during my senior year, I put grad school on hold. The health scare had a negative impact on my GPA that year. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.479, a 3.15 for my last 60 hours, and a 3.73 in the major. The classes in my last year were not commdis classes, and were mostly used so that I would have enough credits to graduate. I scored a 160 (V) 157 (Q) 4.5 (AW) on the GRE. I knew my senior year grades were a drag, so I just completed a graduate certificate and endorsement in autism with a 3.83 GPA. I've got good volunteer work and extracurriculars, and I've spent the last couple of years working as an early childhood teacher on a couple of military bases overseas. I guess I'm just questioning where I stand. I know you aren't admission counselors, but if you have any advice, I would appreciate it.
  8. Thank you! I graduated 2 (going on 3) years ago, so I'll have to include my last semester.
  9. I have a couple of questions I'm hoping someone can answer. 1.Is the last 60 hours gpa the same as the gpa in the major? Or does the gpa in the major only account for major related classes, and not the unrelated electives taken during those years? 2. I took all of my major related classes during my sophomore and junior years. Is it right to assume that admission boards will look at those years instead of my last 2? I hope this makes sense. Thanks!
  10. Would anybody be willing to look my SOP over and give me some feedback? i'm applying to Speech-Language Pathology programs. The more I look at it, the more it seems weird to me. Please let me know!
