Syracuse's Maxwell has the Transatlantic Dual Degree Program in International Security and Development Policy in which you combine the Maxwell MAIR degree with a master's of public policy (MPP) from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin OR a master's of development policy from the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University in The Hague. This is a pretty new program since it just started last year and there are only 8 candidates selected every year; some of the good things about this program are that the Department of Education will pay for your living cost in Europe and it will take two year for two masters.
Yo, I'm only doing MAIR and since orientation week is August 20, I will be there the first week of August. I think the MPA/IR starts in July. Did u check out the school? I do have some worries about my social life in Syracuse cause it seems that there is not much to do around there.
I'm gonna let my boi Will Smith lays it out for u: “Don’t ever let somebody tell you – ”you can’t do something”.. not even me, alright? You got a dream? You got to protect it. People who can’t do it themselves, they wanna tell you – “you can’t do it!”. If you want something, Go Get it!.. Period!”
Yo just got back from admitted day, pretty impressed with the beautiful campus and Maxwell's environment especially, we're pretty much our own society. The group of students today were quite young and most have a very good volunteerism background and were mostly female which were awesome. I'm very surprised at the diversity which is a plus. I'm typing in an iPad right now so will write more on my laptop tomorrow after I go back to town.
Yo bubblegun,
I'm in the same boat. I'm lying in a motel right now in Syracuse waiting for admitted day tomorrow. But right now I'm leaning toward Korbel right now so maxwell needs to bring their game. Korbel has a really good international security and Denver is a great town. I'll Le u know after my visiting day.
I couldn't sleep last night even though my face needs a lot of beauty sleep. And I don't want to take a nap now cause I'm freaking myself to death. One way or another I want this to end ASAP!!!!
And 4/5 pm sounds about right since that is the same time frame that Elliott released their decisions and I don't think SAIS committee wants to be in their office when they release their decisions.
The past two weeks has been really tedious. Hopefully with WWS on Thursday; SAIS on Wednesday; Elliott in between, it will be an awesome but painful next week.
^^^ yeah I feel the same, always wanted to at least apply to Princeton but I'd probably have a better chance of starting a rap label than attending WWS.
