thanks guys, the admit is from USC..I want to go to the States with my current girlfriend (prospective wife)..She needs to get fluent in English in the first months, and may not work so our budget can be tight in the beginning...she's an engineer, so we hope, eventually, she'll find a job in the industry...

Hello everyone again! Pelin, I applied to USC, Northwestern, Columbia, SUNY Binghamton, Duke, Yale, Princeton, Rice, Umass Amherst and Indiana...I've just learned that I got a yearly extra $4000 for Buffalo, so I believe it's a good offer now..

Hello everyone! I am not sure this is the right forum for this msg...I've applied to about 10 programs in comparative literature..If I get accepted and get decent funding, I want to go the US with my girlfriend (we don't believe in long distance relationships )..We've agreed that we could marry "on paper" (we don't believe in marriage either) to meet the visa requirements for her...The only piece of info I found out is that she has to have a J1 in order to be able to work in the US...Does anyone know anything about the process?
