  2. I agree! So many threads about nervousness, anxiousness and fear....it's nice to give ourselves some confidence!
  3. I will get accepted this week, I will get accepted this week....self-fulfilling prophecy? I hope so!
  4. Reading these posts are making me so nervous! You both seem like you had tonnes of experience, and if both of your averages were Bs...I think it's crazy that you didn't get in. I'd be happy getting in anywhere. Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from any schools yet (my boyfriend has been accepted to 2). I have a B+ average and a lot of experience working with children, special needs and other cultures...not exactly social work experience though. My biggest fear is getting rejected all across the board. Especially after reading about your experience and background, I would have thought you girls would definitely get in! What do you think my chances are??
  5. Nothing, nothing and more nothing.... Any day now... ugh
  6. "No Decision Yet" and "Under Review" ...any day now?
  7. Glad to see UofT has already started sending replies back for Advanced Standing...fingers crossed that us 2 year MSWs find out soon!
  8. Is anyone else going to be posting in this forum until April? That's when I'm supposed to hear back...Come on March...you can fly by!
  9. He applied for Canadian History! He hasn't got an official acceptance yet, but he got an e-mail telling him that he was in. Good luck! Hope you hear back soon!
  10. I haven't heard anything yet either! Probably won't until the end of March/beginning of April. All I want is to hear back from one early....even my last choice! Is that too much to ask?? Blaah! When are you guys expecting to hear by?
  11. If anyone is waiting on York University for History, my boyfriend just got into the Masters program, so you should be hearing back soon!
  12. Only 11 days until this month is over!! We can do it. It really has been long though....probably not hearing back from any schools until April too, so I fear March might be a long month as well...ugh
  13. 42 Days Until April 1st...which I'm thinking is the time where we are most likely to hear back from all of our schools, or at least start hearing back! We can do it guys! A little over a month....let's get through this together! Good luck to everyone! (Any tips on how to make the time go by faster?? lol)
  14. Why does it have to be a leap year? Just another day between us and March/April!
  15. Yeah, I don't know who I was trying to kid. Even if I get accepted somewhere, I'll just move on to the next section of the forum "Decisions, Decisions".... Ohh Gradcafe!
  16. That's awesome to hear everyone! Thanks so much! I am definitely going to look into getting a part-time job then. I'm willing to make some social sacrifices if need be, I just needed to know that it wasn't impossible
  17. That's a really good approach. Dedicate one time a day to check! I think once I have an acceptance I'll start to settle down a bit as well!
  18. According to my boyfriend, I bring up Grad school or admissions at least once every half an hour....dedicated or borderline obsessive compulsive?
  19. I know with the MSW comes a practicum. The practicum I am seeing on most university websites (Canadian) are that the practicum takes up about 21 hours each week. With the practicum hours and classes and hours set aside for classwork, do you think it would be possible/practical to have a job during being in a full-time MSW program? I am going to try really hard to save money this year, so I'm hoping a job would be an option. However, I would love other opinions on this matter. Let me know your thoughts!
  20. No problem! I hope it helped!

  23. I've seen 1 rejection from the Advanced Standing MSW program on the Results Survey here. Unfortunately haven't heard anything myself yet. Last year the results for my program didn't come out until April 8th (according to GradCafe). Hope this helps! I really hope that the results come out sooner than April...here's hoping!
