sooperGILLY: When did you summit your app? At least you know where you stand. I haven't heard anything since the dept. told me they have received my app. I need to know no later than June whether I got in or not so I can start applying for the CAL-SWEC stipend. The anticipation SUCKS!

Still haven't heard from CSULB... even getting someone from Admissions on the phone has been challenging. Ugh!
-
Sooo.... haven't heard anything yet. Already thinking about a concelation prize!
-
I will consider myself lucky if I hear back from them by May. I summitted my app on the deadline date. A couple of years ago my friend applied and was waitlisted. She didn't get an official admission until ONE week before Fall semester started. I'm really hoping I hear back from them by May though. Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

still no response from CSULB! This sucks!

Hey! I only applied to CSULB and literally turned in the app on the deadline. I haven't heard anything except that they have received my app and that it is currently under review. Best of luck! Both SDSU and CSULB have great MSW programs!

50k + in student loans is not worth it for an MSW. An MSW is not a very high-paying profession. I would stick to in-state tuition. And def do your homework to the programs that are available in NY. I've heard great things about NYU's program but like I said, not worth a ridiculous amount of student loans. Maybe some stipends? scholarships? Might want to look into that. Best of luck.

Hey! Congrats on your acceptance! Looks like you've been doing very well! Do you mind me asking for your stats? I'm only applying to CSULB and I've read that some ppl have received a rejection letters and others have been accepted. Just want to get a better idea on what CSULB is basing their admissions on... Thanks!

Received an e-mail from CSULB MSW Dept. They have finally confirmed that they have received my app and that they will be reviewing it shortly. Don't know what my chances of being admitted are but I'm only hoping for the best. I'm already thinking of a consolation prize. (

This is my first time applying to grad school and only applied to CSULB. I just received an email today notifying me that the MSW dept. has now received my app and that they will be reviewing it shortly. I'm starting to get a little worried because the people who have already received an admissions letter from CSULB have impressive stats. I didn't know how competitive CSULB was going into the process. If I would have known, I would have applied to a couple more CSU's. Yup, the wait sucks! Best of luck to you guys!!

Also, what concentration did you apply for? And was it the advance? 2-yr, 3yr prgram? Any stipends? Sorry for all the q's//

You didn't get in to CSULB? What are your stats if you don't mind me asking? I'm a little worried, I turned in my app two days before the deadline and I still haven't heard from them except that I've been cleared from Enrollment Services. I only applied to CSULB so its either all or wait till next year's application process :/
