Hi. Finally joining the party. Anyone accepted to/considering Cornell? I'm still waiting on a couple more places, but I got a really phenomenal from Cornell, but am a couple weeks out still from getting to visit it.

PAT was great for me for getting to go to student conferences, meet other history students and faculty, and see really interesting research presentations. My school's PAT is fairly active and we received funding from student government to attend conferences in CT and FL.

Columbia finally issued my rejection yesterday. But I hope that means that they were pairing down the list and someone else got an acceptance in my place. And now, I pray to move up the UVA waitlist....

Is anyone planning on turning down a UVA acceptance? Or has already? Or knows someone who is going to? I am a waitlisted and desperate soul. Also: Anyone still waiting for word from Columbia (phd)? I have logged in repeatedly and there is still no change to my application. I see they accepted and rejected people already, but that was the case with UVA until I finally got a waitlisted notification earlier this month.

To give people hope if anyone still comes here: I just received an email this morning notifying me that I have been promoted from Alternate and have been offered a Fulbright Grant to India! (and for anyone who wants to update the spread sheet) Good luck to anyone else still waiting!

Alternate for India Full Found out Thursday afternoon. I think it was a big day for emails because I always got my finalist notification for the Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship. Hi all. New on the forum. India, full, finalist. The wait is killing me. Especially since I was accepted for CLS for Hindi this summer and I think with the mandatory predeparture orientation I won't be able to do both. Anyone else in this predicament?
