Hi Guys / Gals... Same dilemma here....SIPA (MDP) and SAIS (not IDEV) without funding and awaiting Maxwell EMPA results....I am from India...Long long way from NYC or DC....Websites and what's there on the net - u always get contradictory thoughts.... I am looking at a Development / Consulting in Sustainability kind of career...and am fascinated by the MDP program (esp the field work)...But SAIS is in DC and I have worked extensively on World Bank projects in my past...So have a few ppl I know...May be, I will be able to get an internship with them....In fact one of them was my referee for these applications... Please help me with some clues on this... Would really appreciate any and all help!!! And once I get MAxwell results and "IF" I make it through - can u help me evaluate the three.... Appreciate it 'in advance'... Regards

Hey...My SIPA letter said that you wouldnt be getting aid in year 1. Does this not include the International Fellow Program...Or is there a separate list for that? Clarification pls... Regards

For everyone who has been accepted lately - Was it with or without funding and which program...Any news on MPA MDP? Last year seems to suggest the now famous Pile 1: 65% + Pile 2: 20% + Pile 3: 15%. Just wanted to see where they are in this now...

As we wait for the results...may I ask why SIPA is such a hit with applicants...yet not in the MPA US NEws Rankings at all? Is there a separate ranking for MPA DP ....please share ur views....thanks in advance !

any idea how long they take. I applied for admissions pretty late - March 7th...how long would i have to wait...and will i have a chance even?

Anybody heard from Columbia SIPA in 2012.....And how about the MDP program...anybody with background on the program..

Congrats to everyone who got in!!!! Its indeed good to share the joy with you all... Waiting for MPA2 and if we were to go by the blog; every program result is done together and you will know if you are rejected / accepted / waitlisted. So....I guess we need to wait for MPA2 results to be posted... Anxious / nervous....Hope to get in...

Got in as well - Waiting for funding though.... Two questions: 1. I see a few HKS Accepted on this forum - have HKS decisions been made - the blog suggests no as does the HKS forum. Clarify please 2. I had applied for IDEV as my first choice - but made it through without IDEV. Any idea how I should view this decision enkayem - see you are from india... it would be good to connect (if you wish) now tht we have one admit in common

Thank you Green Diplomat - any idea on the fellowships - 1. what kind of profile makes it through 2. what is the procedure 3. how is this split between courses 4. does experience deter u from being considered for these Too late to ask - but any help on these will provide some direction as we wait with fingers crossed!!

Also...One more question - does having a Masters degree already become a deterrent?

Cool this is....Great to read the post...Nervous, anxious, fear - dont know what but I have been a frequent follower of these forums. Finally logged in to post my own... Being considered for MPA2 at HKS...any idea what the process for the Fellowships is...and Is MPA2 generally the last of the results to be announced... Btw the Blog might not tell you what you want to hear...but the way I look at it - It atleast lets you know that results are not out yet !!! Gives me hope atleast
