Well, I do understand your situation and from the way you explain it well with us it seems like you were hurt by the situation you are in but you couldn't do anything because it was there already. I guess for you to have a peace of mind since you are aware of your situation why not start from accepting yourself first and the learning disability condiiton of yours. Honestly, from my point of view you are smart but what's important is you know what is exactly happening to you so from there make some adjustments. Don't ever think that you lack of this and that and learn to accept people around you for you to find some good enough people to be with you always and to accompany you. All of us need to fit ourselves to this world and for as long as we know we are here why not learn to face people rather than neglecting or hating them. Aside from that, why not go on a counseling to an expert to guide you along the way.

Well, the key there is to concentrate more of your study and be motivated at it. If ever you don't excel to a particular suject for that matter it only means you are not interesting at all. I cannot say something relevant about your discussion guys but I'm always watching this discussion hoping that it would enlighten me more. I'm planning to enhance more my studies since I'm a newly grad and planning to take up my master's and hopefully right after my doctorate. It usually depends on the situation and how intense your feeling for that guy. If you are a girl its very unusual to admit your feelings toward a person unless you are close with him and you know that the feeling might be mutual because of his expression towards you. However, for a guy to admit his feeling if very usual but should also ask himself if its worth it and if there are no question along the way. If you forget it then you might regret so the best thing to do is feel the atmosphere between the two of you and if ever you see that there's no problem then go for it. Always remember still that no matter what happens you are still the teacher and they are the student. Don't worry about that rare situation it just happened once and don't be so disappointed. Actually, laptop is good for students however for a more intense discussion it should not be allowed because you are right, students can just easily access some social media sites like Facebook or twitter which I think is unnecessary specially if you really want student to learn and have a clear focus in everything you will say. It is allowed in some ways but there should be some restrictions as well on when is the best time to use it in class.

If I'm still a student I would still choose the tangible textbook over ebooks primarily because it's easy for me to highlight important notes that I found in them. Also, it's easy for me to concentrate on my study if I've a real book with me.

Hi there, mine is 13" MacBook Pro just like others here. For me it is lightweight and easy to carry wherever you want to go. These days I prefer to use it at home because I've an Ipad 2 which I carry most of the time. Though I find my laptop really amazing because of the overall feature are truly great.
