Lol my letter has the same error. I wonder if it's possible they're still updating things and we might get funding offers later (i.e. sometime this week)?

Oh damn, that's awesome! I guess I'll still hold on to hope until later this evening then, haha.

Alrighty then! I'm wondering if it's related to the fact that I got a conditional acceptance because still I need to take the Econ prereqs. Pretty disappointing they would just dismiss people like me for funding even if we have a really strong backgrounds and work experience. I would have thought the financial offer would just be conditional as with the acceptance. Oh well, one less school to consider I guess!

So if we don't see another letter on the portal that means no funding? Or has anyone gotten a letter that actually says no funding offer?

Why have I not received any funding/financial aid email for MAIR in DC ? Edit: does not receiving any email mean no funding?
-
They must be going down a list... still waiting for my email over here.
-
SAIS DC MAIR decisions are out, check your portal! Just got in! ?
-
Congratulations! DC or Europe? Edit: oops, just realized your handle says DC! Nothing for me yet, but I'm waiting on MAIR!
-
AHHHHHH congrats to you SAIS Europe folks!!! **refreshes portal furiously for SAIS DC results ?**
-
Let the results pour in for us all this week!!! My sanity is hanging on by a thread ?

Did the Fletcher folks contact y'all out of nowhere, or did you ask for an update? Haven't heard a peep from them!

Ah ok, this is good call -- I didn't realize G'town was all merit-based. Best of luck with the other programs, hope we all find out soon!
-
That's awesome, congrats to you too! I got ~40% scholarship. Seems generous but D.C is hella expensive! Have you thought about negotiating for more? I'm still waiting to hear back from the other three programs I applied to before I make any moves.

Just received an acceptance to Georgetown's GHD program (personal email from a faculty member). They said official notifications will go out next week.

I went to a virtual lecture on Feb 10th and at the close Dean Jackson made mention of March 5th as a date we'd be hearing from them. At least I think he said March 5th!

Yup, same for me.

I got the biggest softball on my video essay: tell us about your family ?

Yup, just realized this happened to me also today. No idea what it means but fingers crossed for everyone!

Program Applied To (MPA, MPP, IR, etc.): MA in International Relations (SAIS), MPA Development Practice (SIPA), MGA (Fletcher), Global Human Development (Georgetown) Schools Applied To: Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, Columbia, Tufts Schools Admitted To: None so far Schools Rejected From: None so far Still Waiting: SAIS, Georgetown, Columbia, Tufts Undergraduate Institution: Decent state university Undergraduate GPA: 3.85 (I do have tons of Ws on my transcript) Undergraduate Major: Philosophy & Psychology double major GRE Quantitative/Verbal/AW Scores: None Years Out of Undergrad (if applicable): 11 Years of Work Experience: 11 Describe Relevant Work Experience: 10+ years of very strong international experience: Peace Corps + leadership roles at various well known NGOs up to present Strength of SOP (be honest, describe the process, etc): Emotional personal statement about commitment to international development and service, based on unique professional and personal experiences living/working abroad for many years. I think it has a decent chance of standing out. Strength of LOR's (be honest, describe the process, etc): Very strong, but all professional LORs (I've been out of school and in the work force for over a decade so academic references didn't make a ton of sense for me). One LOR is from well known CEO/founder of respected international org. Other: I have strong work experience and interesting stories to tell. My academic quant history is probably my main application weakness. I took bare minimum math in college and no economics classes (currently taking an online Econ class for entrance requirements). I got an A in a stats class in college so I guess that's something.
