  1. I thought all of the rejections were on the same day. Either way, eh. I have more hopes for Vanderbilt just because we haven't seen any rejections from Buffalo yet. If we're still standing after that, I'll feel more hopeful. (Unfortunately because the hope is really starting to get to me.)
  2. I'm assuming a rejection from Buffalo. Then again, I was/am also waiting for my rejection from Wisconsin so I don't even know anymore.
  3. I'm always really glad to know someone else is in the same "neither accepted nor rejected" boat. At this point I'm at 0% confidence of ever hearing anything back from anyone at all.
  4. I'm not a film person AT ALL but I am dying to write on Mean Girls so I do not think this is sad at all.
  5. Ok, thanks for sharing. I kept thinking maybe I have been checking the wrong website somehow. Still pending, the other page still says it's under review or whatever. Thanks for the well-wishes.
  6. Really sorry about that. Where did it come in? My status page still hasn't changed at all. (More. Silence. I am feeling invisible.)
  7. I may be misreading the tea leaves (and you may have tea leaves I don't have, ya dig?) but I think it'll be soon. I really hope it is a big green wall on the results board too. Michigan for EVERYONE!
  8. Let's just go ahead and say everything east of the Mississippi is tomorrow.
  9. This is my favorite post of the day. Congratulations, datatape! I am so beyond thrilled for you!
  10. Man, I love this game. I still think Berkeley's coming up soon and I think Michigan is too.
  11. I will say that's probably fair. I really didn't like coming of age stories then either. Holden Caulfield is such a phony.
  12. The best news I have "heard" so far is not being rejected from Vanderbilt. Total silence, still.
  13. Congrats on the buffalo admits! So proud of asleepawake! two espressos, please be one of them?
  14. The Job Market is terrible. I am concerned with producing work that places me on the better part of the statistic, rather than worrying about statistics themselves. If an interdisciplinary program affords me a supportive, rigorous environment, I think that is more important. What I am not convinced of, however, is that an interdisciplinary program would be MORE supportive of my research.
  15. A million apologies, that was meant to be an upvote. Congratulations!
  16. YES The Fault in Our Stars broke me though. On the subject of John Green, Will Grayson, Will Grayson was one of the worst books I read last year (after It's Kind of a Funny Story and Perks of Being a Wallflower). I write this to distract myself from Ulysses.
  17. I'm not actively looking yet (because of superstition) but I am consciously gauging my reactions to implied news (looking at you, Wisconsin) and noting whether or not I would reapply. I am also continuously weighing the idea of applying to interdisciplinary programs and thinking about how I can better articulate my interests. (The latter should be of use to me if I get in too.)
  18. Congrats Chicago people! That is seriously amazing!
  19. Me. It's hard to remember that it's actually still really early.
  20. Fuck wolverine access. I'm having a similar problem with Brandeis's Sage (same interface) and I have confirmed that it is just a system error. I would guess it is ok.
  21. I really hope the web-design person for Buffalo reads this thread and has a good laugh.
  22. What? No? I don't think so? Though I haven't been on that one as much lately. Does the blue mean you're in????? ETA, oh that? Has that not been there? I have said this before (IN RELATION TO BUFFALO TOO) that I wish I had taken early screen shots of my status pages.
  23. That's cool! Are you a film person? (I ask in part because I'm really, really not.) No, just straight English at Brown (and everywhere, though I may rethink that should I need a Cycle 2 of this).
