What area are you going into?

These are schools I looked at when I was looking for programs with people doing speech recognition and NLP MIT University of Illinois Johns Hopkins Carnegie Mellon University of Southern California Georgia Institute of Technology U of Toronto U of Alberta Simon Fraser University University of Ottawa

Cool, Ill be in Computational Linguistics too.

I accepted an offer for an MS at UofT. My interests are in NLP and Machine Learning too. Did you get accepted in the NLP lab or machine learning? I think the tuition for Canadians is about 7000 and more for international. Also the Masters at CMU are unfunded correct? From the other Canadian schools I got into, the UofT offer was the best for funding.

Didn't get mine. Very disappointed.

NLP

I had missing transcripts for Johns Hopkins. I figure if they weren't interested in me enough to email me about it they weren't going to admit me anyways.

NLP, ya all UofT stuff is funded other than the applied masters I do believe. When I interviewed he said that acceptances and rejections should be out by this week, and if I didn't hear anything it would probability have meant that I was on a wait list. I don't know if that was just for the NLP group or not though.

regular CS and the language tech one

I got an acceptance yesterday.

I got rejection emails from both programs I applied to at CMU

I took the machine learning course. I wouldn't put it it on my app.
