Rejected from CU Boulder today. Certainly happy that I got into Emory, especially since I was rejected from everywhere outside of my home state.

This is interesting. I'm starting grad school in the fall but had been told that if you're getting A's, you're not spending enough time in the lab

Finally heard from Vanderbilt NGP. Rejected, but I wouldn't have picked it over my current acceptance anyway.

Thanks stmwap! From what I understand Emory's wait list is short and quite active so I think there is a good chance that it could turn into an acceptance. Even without that you have some great programs to choose from! Good luck!

I am completely in shock. I just got my first acceptance and it is to Emory! After getting rejection after rejection I never thought this would happen. It goes to show that just because some schools may not give you a chance, that doesn't mean it won't happen.

I know the admissions committee from a school I interviewed with is meeting today and we'll be notified via phone this week as to our status. My phone rings, don't know the number, same area code as the school and it's a home improvement company following up on a quote they gave me LAST MARCH! Seriously? 40 minutes later and I think my heart is still in my throat.

I'm not sure how other schools run, but I know Emory's Neuro adcom is meeting today. I could be wrong but I think President's Day mainly just means no mail delivery and banks are closed

I'm sure that's not all of the invites for the first group. I would imagine they wait to have all the information before sending out the full list. Don't give up hope!

I'm at the second recruitment weekend now and they've said that 11 acceptances went out after the first weekend. I believe there are 19 of us and 6ish international coming after. Adcom will meet on Monday for the second round of invites. Good luck everyone!

Just noticed at Georgia State Neuroscience acceptance on the results page. If that person is around, when did you get the email?

Just turned 35 on Feb 2nd. First time applying to PhD programs after spending 3 semesters taking additional UG classes (graduated in 2001). Glad to know that I'm in good company!

And another rejection. NYU Sackler What is going on with everyone? I want to hear about interview invites and acceptances!

Woke up to a rejection. Granted one I knew was coming, but still a sucky "rise and shine"

As suggested on these boards, I sent thank you emails to my interviewers from last weekend and got a response from one saying he thinks I'm a great fit for the program. It may not mean anything, but amidst all the waiting and rejections it's certainly nice to hear. Congrats to everyone on the interview invites and acceptances!

I realized this morning that Mondays or even weekends don't mean much to me in terms of adcoms anymore. I haven't heard a peep from a school in almost 3 weeks. I know 4 that I haven't heard from have already invited or conducted interviews. I guess I'm just waiting for the official rejections to show up.

My first interview weekend starts tonight! Totally new kind of freaking out!!!!

I'm sure it's really disappointing but FutureNeuroGrad is right, you have a bunch of wonderful interviews ahead. I like to believe that things happen for a reason, so I know you'll end up in a program that you choose and that's a great fit for you. Keep your head up!

I hear ya. I haven't heard a peep in over 2 weeks. It's so odd that I applied to 13 programs, only 2 in the city I currently live in and it looks like the only interviews I'm going to get are at those 2 schools. Guess the universe is telling me it's not the year to relocate (which I was kind of looking forward to).

I'm so sorry! That really sucks. At least you have some good interviews on your plate! When do you start your interviews?
