Got my second rejection from OHSU today. First one on Dec 21st. I think one was enough. Congrats on Florida State FutureNeuroGrad! Don't give up on GSU yet, I think they're still getting everything together

Based on the 5 BU emails now posted on the results, I'm guessing everyone either got an invite or got that. Oh well...

I emailed them as well and got the exact response verbatim. I would love to know if its the message they send to everyone or if it actually means something. I'm guessing it's the first but really, really wish it was the latter.

I saw on the results page that someone else got an email from BU PiBS about not getting in the first round of invites but still being "under consideration" and we would be notified mid-March. Does this mean we've been essentially waitlisted for an interview? Could they have possibly sent this to everyone?

I don't have any experience with it, but it sounds like at this point (if they have a reputation of being inflexible plus travel being booked) only ask if you're willing to give up a chance at UT Austin for one at MSU. It's terrible they overlap like that. Hopefully MSU will come through with a reschedule!

That seems like an odd answer, that they may possibly reschedule later. Hopefully they will. I feel like some schools act like no one has ever asked to reschedule before, which I'm sure isn't true. Have you asked UT Austin about an alternate interview date instead?

Not sure why I can't edit my previous post, but new poster on the results board says they were told invites would go out all week. Hope the second one is right!

Someone posted in the results section that they called UCSD Neuroscience and all invites have already been sent out. So bummed about that one. Guess I'll add it to my rejection list.

Right after getting my Duke rejection today I got an email today from the school I attend and that I've been "unofficially" told I have an interview at letting me know their interview weekend is the same freaking weekend as the trip I just booked. Looks like I'll have to ask them to reschedule because I'm still much happier having a weekend away to look forward to! Maybe if I make plans for UCSDs interview weekend I'll get a call from them

I hadn't had any application dreams until last night and no matter how many times I woke up and went back to sleep it just kept going. In my dream I received an email from UCSD and it was huge, full of pictures and text, just incredibly long. I kept reading and reading but couldn't figure out if it was a rejection or an interview invite! Around 7am I finally gave up on sleeping and got a cup of coffee, but I half expected to see this crazy, epic email when I checked this morning. Thankfully it wasn't there.

Congratulations @nohika! That's so exciting! I really hadn't imagined I'd make it through this week without hearing anything from anywhere. Luckily, I have DATA! I finally have data from my research to process and I'm using that as a distraction

Thanks! I didn't realize so many schools had added dates to their websites. Maybe it'll be like how if you clean your car it rains. I'll book a trip and get an interview Edit: Screw it, I'm going on vacation! Take that grad school apps and subsequent neuroses!

I'd love some opinions here. My husband wants to rent a cabin for my birthday the weekend of Feb 1-3. He's been amazing through the application process and been awesome dealing with the possibility of moving somewhere unknown and I know he's excited about going away for a weekend (as am I). I have yet to hear from 9 schools, although several have sent invites so I'm probably just waiting on rejections from those. Anyway, when do you think I'm safe-ish to book this trip? I'm sure there are occasional last minute invites, but with travel factored in I can't imagine they're all that often. If I got an interview, I'd go but would not be able to get the money back on the cabin. Any thoughts?

I really, really thought I'd hear something this week, even something I don't want to hear. But nothing. Crickets. Maybe tomorrow? Next week? Congrats to all those that have gotten interview invites this week!
