IRGradFall2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Anyone else having trouble getting Tufts to send them their replacement password/user name? I can't for the life of me remember what it was. Is that system down too?
aneena Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Got in, $14.000 scholarship. But I still can't afford it Any chances of getting more the next time? Or can I somehow request that they review my scholarship decision? If it was more I could maybe make it, but I'm from abroad and I can't even borrow money, no chance of getting a loan. Maybe next year I can search for some additional source of funding...
pshrichand Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Accepted with an 8K scholarship to the MALD program. Waitlisted at SIPA and awaiting SAIS and Georgetown.
International_Relations Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Scholarship of 11k - how will I make it on that sum! The initial euphoria of getting in is waning off now... Accepted with an 8K scholarship to the MALD program. Waitlisted at SIPA and awaiting SAIS and Georgetown.
kilo178 Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Accepted at Fletcher (MALD) with $13k ; Waitlisted at Columbia (SIPA) I have some undergrad debt to take into consideration, and I'm thinking about law school down the road, so I'm trying to decide if it's worth all the loans... I think it is, but am a little indecisive. Any thoughts?

Is that system down too? Nevermind, I figured it out. In with 11/k. Also into American SIS and American University of Paris Waitlisted: SAIS Waiting on Gtown, GW, SIPA, and LSE
International_Relations Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Congratulations on the great schools you have been getting invitations to! Can you share your story with me - what is your work and education profile and where do you come from? - would be great to know for my own understanding. As for me, I have made it to Fletcher and SIPA (SAIS - No). Awaiting Georgetown and HKS, though Fletcher was always my favorite school. Im an Indian national working with a US investment bank in Mumbai with a MBA in International Business from top Indian bschool and an undergraduate in commerce from a top Indian school. GPA 3.72, GRE V710 Q790 AW 6.0. My interests are in conflict, negotiations and international development. Thanks, Just got my acceptance and am THRILLED! I had psyched myself out on this forum (no offense, everyone...) and was CONVINCED I wasn't getting in anywhere this year. This is my first response of any kind. I checked the website at 4:30 pm and saw the link to check my decision status. I still haven't gotten an e-mail. I was also offered a $9K annual scholarship, which is nice. I just want everyone to know not to give up faith-- apparently a long wait doesn't mean anything! Oh, and this is for MALD.
riz1 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 To all of you receiving good news: congratulations! To those who have been waitlisted, keep your head up (I was waitlisted for fall 2009 and was then pushed back to spring 2010) ... it's tough, I know, but you must. And to those receiving not-so-good news: it's a very difficult season for admissions, and I hope you are accepted elsewhere. Unless your heart is set on Fletcher, in which case you can always apply in October, to begin studies next January (we do take a small 20-25 person class each year in Jan). Best of luck to all!
Batignolles Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Is anyone planning on attending the Fletcher open house on April 11 and 12? From the agenda posted on the welcome website, it looks like a great series of events, and I'm sorry I won't be able to make it (I live overseas). However, I'm set on going to Fletcher and would love to hear more detail about various aspects of the program and student life! It would be great if one or two people who were planning to attend could take a few notes and post them here. Thanks!!

Batignolles Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Ok, the open house is tomorrow - so *someone* must be going, right? Also, on a Fletcher reputation note: Yesterday I was at the US embassy filing some paperwork for my husband. As part of it, I had a consular interview as to why I was returning to America. The FSO was so excited I was going to Fletcher, and mentioned that she had many friends in the foreign service who went there, and that it was a great program. An unexpected endorsement, but a good one!
IntBiz Posted April 13, 2010 Author Posted April 13, 2010 Yep. Went to the Open House. Definitely solidified my convictions of a genuine, collaborative and extremely interesting bunch of current/prospective students. Peter Uvin was hilarious!!
Salman Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 So who among you finally enrolled in Fletcher? I'm enrolled in MALD. See you soon, to those you are going too. Cheers! Hello, Is there anyone who is having with logging in into the Fletcher admission system? I received an email from Fletcher about 1.5 hrs ago but can't get in.
abraxas Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Did anyone do the Evaluative Interview offered by the school ? Is it worth it?
Clay Made Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Thought I would bump this thread to help out applicants for this application cycle. Any pieces of advice would be most welcome. beefmaster and greendiplomat 2
