nike of samothrace Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I'm on one alternate funding list and, seemingly, two admissions waitlists. So I'll chime in - decline your unwanted offers, PLEASE! This waiting is killing me!
palimpsest Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 I'm on four funding alternate lists. Decline your unwanted offers ASAP! amabo te Don't know if this helps anyone, but I just declined my offer from UCSB today, so that should open up funding for someone else. It's official - I'm going to Toronto!
deianeira Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Congrats on Toronto!!! I made it off the waitlist at NYU (THANK GOD) and got full funding with the very generous stipend of 26k!!!! I am BEYOND thrilled!!! Best of luck to everyone!!!
discostu Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 I'm sorry if this is OT, but now that most of you are done with the admission process, what do you think some of the basic GPA or GRE cut off stats are? Thanks. And congrats!
nike of samothrace Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Palimpsest, deianeira, congratulations!! I wondered if those two notices on the results page were you guys. You must be thrilled!! Discostu, your question might be better addressed to certain schools than to us. While different disciplines will have different requirements as far as the important aspects of an application, that varies from school to school as well. Some have minimum GPA/GREs, some don't - it all depends. You're probably best off contacting the admissions offices of each school you're interested in to find out if they have official cut off points.
