Ascaris Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Hello, I got the following mail from the Program Director about a month ago: "Thank you for taking time to talk with us yesterday. We will be making offers for admission before March 15." I'm yet to receive an offer. Does this mean I have been rejected? Thank you for your time.
1 TakeruK Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 1. It's still before March 15. 2. Academics are really bad at deadlines. If you haven't heard in a week, it is probably not good news but it isn't over until it's over. If you do need to know about this decision before you can accept another offer you have pending, then follow up in a week. Bayesian1701 1

0 Shreyansh Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Hi, I don't think you should look at March 15 as a strict deadline, in this case. An associate program director at one of the programs I had applied to told me that I should expect a decision by February 15. It's March 19, and I still haven't got any notification (neither has anyone else, for that matter). You can check on the results page to see if other people have received offers for your specific program and school. If some people did, you can mail the department and ask if they've rolled out all the results, or are they still waiting on some.
