B1369
Hi everyone I am applying for Ph.D. in social psychology this fall in Canada. I am currently studying for GRE and TOEFL but I am getting worried that I might lose my chance of contacting potential advisors if I wait until I have my scores. Should I just start emailing them and take my exams before the application deadline? or is it better if I take the exams now so I can mention my them in my emails? ResilientDreams
I never mentioned my GRE scores in emails to professors. B1369
PokePsych
I wouldn't mention those scores, so go ahead and email. B1369
B1369
So they are not going to ask about these scores prior to the application deadlines?

No. The individual faculty care very little about your GRE score. They care more about your research fit. B1369
ResilientDreams
The GRE is super over hyped on these forums. I've always been told it's one of the least important aspects of the application. As long as you don't fail it you'll be fine.
