UT Austin MSW Fall 2019!?

Did any apply to Boston College and UT of Austin. I’m really interested in both program’s military and families certificate.

I got my acceptance letter to the 2 year track yesterday night! I had everything submitted by January 10th.

Thank you so much! Hopefully you hear back soon! I wasn't given any scholarship/merit scholarship information in the acceptance letter. However, they did state that I should be finding out about financial award information in two weeks.

Checked the My Status portal today and saw that I was Admitted! No email. No info on funding yet. I applied to 2 year program and had everything in by Jan 15.

@drayburrows Congratulations!!! thank you so much for posting. Helps to know they are getting closer to those who submitted by the 15th. Will you be attending or are you still deciding with other schools?

I have received several phone calls and emails regarding the status of MSSW applications. You are receiving this email because your application is currently in review for admission. Due to the influx of applications received for Fall 2019, the review process has been extended past the standard 6 to 8 weeks (from the January 15^thpriority deadline).  It is my hope that all Fall applicants will receive decisions by the week of April 8th. If you have not received a decision by the week of April 8^th, you have likely been placed on the waitlist. Waitlisted applicants will receive an email with additional information during the week of April 15th. I realize that some of you may have been admitted to other programs and have confirmation deadlines approaching. It may be helpful to request confirmation extensions from the other universities as you await a decision from the Steve Hicks School of Social Work.

I finally made an account since I've been reading and creepin' on everyones posts for a few days now. Im dying! With anticipation! I also applied for the advance standing program. My status is still saying "in review". I did not get that email from Andrea. Gah!

@CMB_27I applied to the regular 2 year program so that may be why you didn't get this email. It's probably a different review timeline for you guys.

I’m advanced standing as well and didn’t get an email so I wouldn’t worry!

A little late to the party but I was wondering if y'all knew if it was too late to apply to UT. I know I have heard that the priority deadline was on Jan 15th  but I have yet to hear of somebody gaining an acceptance for the advance standing program.

I would think it would be too late but it might be worth it to email admissions and ask!! I don’t think they have sent out decisions for advanced standing but should be doing so any day now.

I did email admissions many weeks ago and they said advanced standing would hear within twelve weeks from the deadline which is in 13 days lol I’m in the same boat as you

During the second phase, Post BSW materials are reviewed and a decision is made as to whether an applicant will be admitted into the Post BSW Program. Please remember that your application will not be considered for the Post BSW Program until all Post BSW materials have been received. Please also note that it is possible to be denied during phase 1 of the application process.

Hello, has anyone from the 2 year track heard anything after March 15th? I'm still waiting to hear a decision which I believe isn't looking too good for me. I know the deadline extended till the 8th but the additional waiting period is frustrating. This is the last school I am waiting to hear back from.

Also waiting to hear back for the 2 year track. I’m not too hopeful but it’s the last school I’m waiting to hear back from as well.

Mine still says in review as well but I did get a call earlier asking a question about one of my supplemental documents, so hopefully we hear something soon!
