Hi, I'm applying to several programs (mainly in structure track), and for those programs which consider Ph.D. applicants for MS admission, I chose Ph.D. program in the application. I've only got two interview invitations from the same institution, and other than that, all I received are some emails informing that my application is complete. I am posting to see how is it going for other applicants. Not knowing where I am at is kinda scary.

Post here if you'd like to share.

Applying to a bunch of programs with environmental engineering focus: Yale, Duke, UT Austin, UW and CMU. Haven't heard anything from anyone yet, but will update if anyone replies. Which school gave you the interview?

Did anyone got any replies/updates/interviews for EE focus?

USC. I only got two interviews and both of them are from USC. Good luck with all the applications!

I'm applying to Cal, UT Austin, TAMU, GA Tech, VA Tech, CMU, Columbia, UIUC and Purdue. All in the Construction/Engineering/Project Management field. Also haven't heard anything, but I'm not sure whether colleges conduct interviews with Masters' applicants. Any idea?

Applied to: Duke (PhD), Penn State (MS w/ PhD intent), NC State (PhD), Hopkins (PhD), VA Tech (PhD), and Illinois (MS w/ PhD intent) for environmental. I haven't heard anything official on admittance from anywhere yet, but have visit offers from Duke and Penn State.

Are you a domestic applicant? Were you notified about the visit through Email?

Yeah, domestic applicant. Notified through email on both. From Duke I heard from the department's graduate office and from Penn State I heard from a professor I've been in contact with throughout the application process.

Did you receive anything from Stanford CEE? I saw your post under other topics. I haven't received anything and don't know if my application is complete or not.

Got two interviews: one from Yale and one from MIT. I have not heard back from CMU, Georgia Tech, UC-Davis, and Stanford(MS). I am really nervous at this point bc I know CMU will send out final decisions late January and early February...

Interesting that you got an interview from MIT. I think historically they don't interview. You probably have a good shot!

No I haven’t heard anything from Stanford. I think you can check on applyweb to see if your application package is complete or not.

Thanks! It shows that my application has been "submitted". Does your applyweb show "completed"?

Ur welcome. Mine also says submitted, it’s in the checklist that you can see your application status, and mine shows complete.

Got it. Thanks! Mine is complete, too!

Applied to a bunch of programs with an environmental engineering focus: Umich, UW Madison, North Carolina State, Berkeley, UMass Amherst, UIUC, and Rice. I've had calls (and an upcoming call) with professors at UMich, Berkeley, UMass and Rice. I've been accepted into NC State and UIUC. Still waiting to hear from the others.

I know last year, Rice sent out to decisions around this time of the year. But idk about this year. I applied for Rice’s master program. Have not heard anything from Rice either.

I think that is only because the professor I am applying to is shortlisted for applicants this year and she told me that she interviewed everyone that applied to join her group... cry

While I didn't apply for environmental engineering, I received my acceptance letter from Texas A&M for structures on 1/15.

I am still waiting for Rice as well with environmental focus but haven’t heard anything. How did your interview go and did they say if they are interviewing everybody and when will decisions be made? Thank you!

I applied to a few schools all in Environmental focus, so far only had USC interview couple of weeks ago and they still didn’t give me a decision. No other school had any updates :(

@PartyEngineer  It went well. I had previously met the professor at an event while I was in undergrad, and she remembered me. I got an acceptance email a couple of days ago.

She didn't mention if they were interviewing everybody and when decisions would be made. I think she was calling students who had an interest in her lab in particular. I would hold out hope because I'm pretty sure they are still making decisions!
