psychslp Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Hi, I was wondering how much grades matter in your masters program for getting a job after graduate school. Should I try insanely hard to get all A's like in undergrad, are a lot of B's totally fine, etc. Basically, will your GPA matter at all for getting a job after grad school as long as it's above a 3.0? Thanks so much for your help!!
bibliophile222 Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 From everything I've heard, GPA doesn't matter in the slightest for jobs, except maaaaaybe if you're applying for some insanely competitve position? Still, probably not. Most employers (check the reddit slp thread for some of these posts) say they could care less about grades, it's all about experiences and references. psychslp 1
Toya Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 I agree. I've heard hospital positions are competitive but schools and clinics are not as competitive. psychslp 1
KelsHud Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 They don't look at your grades. All my friends recently graduated from grad school and none their jobs looked at their grades. psychslp 1
