Responding to masters acceptance

For anyone accepted for a funded masters but waitlisted for Phd programs, are you responding to the masters programs or just waiting to respond until all results including waitlists are in?

You should wait until April 15th regardless. If the PhD comes through you'll regret not waiting.

Thanks- wondering more from an etiquette, relationship building standpoint- whether to thank them for their offer , tell them I am waiting for additional information etc

From what I've read, there is no need to say anything - even if you reject an offer. It would be good for networking to get in touch with the DGS's once you make a decision, simply so they can get people off their waitlist if that's still viable for their department. BUT, you should wait until you can use other offers as financial leverage.

Is the question not whether you should give an accept/decline response, but whether you should reply at all? In that case, I'd say definitely reply to the  email to say thanks, and that you'll be in touch later once you've had time to think about your decision. Might also be a good idea to ask questions about the program if you had any.
