I just accepted Western! I also have not heard back from UofT Health Promo. If anyone else is attending Western in the fall, would love to connect! :) Western ppl, where do you plan to live since living on campus won't be an option?

Congrats!!! What stats and experiences did you apply with? :)

I went to Western for undergrad and the campus is huge so I would look for a place that's close to public health building/hospital side of campus. I know the Masonville area has a ton of apartments and housing options and it's like a 10 minute bus ride from campus. You can message me if you have any specific questions about London!

hey everyone, I’m very late to this thread but I figured I should respond!

I applied to 4 universities (heard back from 3 - rejected ?) just waiting to hear back from Guelph. Has anyone received rejection letters from there?

Also has anyone applied for the MSc in Population Med (Public Health) Rolling admission at Guelph? If so - I’d love to chat about it as I am interested too.

Please cross your fingers for me for Guelph ahhhh

Hi, I also applied for the MSc in Population Med at Guelph! I hope we good news will come our way :). I'd love to connect and chat a bit about our experience if you would like!

I have been looking at the population med Msc and have been hesitant as it seems to be tailored to working with animal populations, and the effect of animal products on health. Do you have any insight into the program? For someone like myself who is more interested in human populations this is why I did not apply.

Hi, I totally understand where your concern is coming from but I think it really depends on who your supervisor is and who you want to work with. Personally, I have chosen a supervisor that focus on human population and health promotion. The courses itself doesn't seem to centre one population more than the other.

No worries! I have already secured a supervisor! You must secure a supervisor in order for your application to move forward and to be admitted regardless of thesis based or course work based.

Hey! I actually recently completed my MSc at Guelph so I can share some insight on commuting. I commuted from Toronto and it’s definitely doable :), but requires strong time management and commitment. I also noticed a few people in my program who commuted. There’s of course perks to living on campus like getting to know your colleagues and not having to create a study schedule around your commuting time. Unfortunately, I can’t speak to the workload though cause my program required us to take 2 courses compared to the 3 courses for the MPH program. Even if it’s one additional course could have a significant difference, based on course scheduling, but I assume it wouldn’t be as bad as undergrad.

Hi! Congrats on the completion of your MSc, may I ask what program exactly?

Question: When does the thread start for Fall 2022? I'm ready to start fretting

You can start your own 2022 thread! :) You just have to click "start new topic"

Thought about it! Didn't want to take away from those still on the waiting list for this cycle (also, I know the profiles are not updated to even reflect the 2022 cycle so didn't want to get too ahead!! hah)

Hi everyone! I'm brand new to this site so sorry I'm sure this has been asked before but has anyone heard anything (acceptances or rejections) from UoG's MPH program? I'm kind of worried about it and not sure if its worth emailing them to ask.

Thank you!! :)

do u think there’s a possibility for the program to start online for the first semester? It’ll save me the headache of moving across 10 provinces till December LOL

Hey! All acceptances went on end of march! I think they have until tmrw to decide so after that a waitlist will go out and if you didn’t hear anything regarding that either, it’s most likely not an acceptance.

Ah thats too bad but in a way its nice to at least know that now and not hold out false hope. I applied to Toronto as well and they actually sent me a letter saying I didn't get in so I thought that maybe I still had a change with Guelph aha :')

Thank you for getting back to me though! :)

Thank you ❤️ It was the social and behavioural health sciences stream. I'm really interested in health promotion so I applied to that one but I should have known how competitive it would be :') If you don't mind me asking where did you apply/ get in to?
