Looks like WUSTL is sending rejections before acceptances?

I guess? I was on the opposite end for Michigan which was my first choice and got rejected there before other people got accepted. How many of us are waiting on decisions? If it's only a handful, more likely to have sent all the rejections.

I’m still waiting

Just sent emails to the Admin Assistants at UGA and UNL for any possible updates regarding admissions timelines and the possibility of if and when they may be hosting "Visit Days". I have an offer and a Visit Day scheduled for March 11 and I'm trying to plan that out but want to confirm there will not be a conflict with a program that I prefer over my current offer.

I'd be interested in the reply from UGA. Did you get an acceptance from Georgia yet? I think there was someone who got accepted pretty early in January but I haven't heard anything since.

They responded that they have sent out first-round admissions and are going to have another meeting after the final Feb 15th deadline. They expect to send out a second round of offers after that. Visit Day is scheduled for Mar 24-25.

For the record, I applied before the Dec 1 priority deadline and have not been admitted (or rejected).

For those of you who got into Columbia, does it show up on your portal at all or was it just the email? And what's your subfield? I'm assuming if I'm not part of this wave of emails I'm probably out of the running

It was an email from the DGS and Program Coordinator. Mine was for AP. I don’t think the portal is updated for me yet.

Thanks for the feedback. I've applied in November too. Let's see what's gonna happen - and when.

Claiming an acceptance to Columbia!

Congrats! We are patiently awaiting your stats for context --- if you're comfortable sharing them.

I've been at both Princeton and Columbia and I would humbly recommend Princeton. I'm currently at Harvard for a master's degree and one of the advantages here, I feel, is access to courses and seminars at the Law School (relevant to pol sci) and over at MIT, where I took a graduate seminar last term.

Absolutely—I'd be more than happy to in the overall results thread once the month is over!

Understandable! I was hoping you'd share general information now, so others may assess their chances (e.g., high undergrad GPA, high quant GRE, excellent letters of rec). Of course, I totally understand if you don't feel comfortable doing so.

Congrats again! Any top pick, provided you get in everywhere?

Hi everyone! First of all, congratulations to those accepted! Thats brilliant and Columbia is an absolutely amazing school.

I was hoping to ask for some advice - I got waitlisted from Harvard (Public Policy), and while I assume no one really turns down their place there, I dont know if anyone is familiar with how many people are waitlisted? or the chances of acceptance after that? Sorry, its my top school and Im wondering
